    Welcome from 63139! If you are going to make sauce you can freeze your peppers whole. When they thaw they will turn to mush, but you won't have to fight an overly acidic, vinegar flavor that can be tough to overcome. BTW - better get everything picked before tomorrow night...freeze warning in...

    event Bowers' Chili Pepper Food Festival 2012!

    Bowers was awesome! Great crowd, good weather up until Saturday afternoon, and what a fantastic area. I spent several more days bumming around the area and everyone I met in PA was great. I think Wicked Cactus will have to be back next year - and I didn't even make it out to the fields!

    Thanks or the review JayT! We are using smoked ghost pepper powder in the sauce as it is always available, whereas fresh pods are sometimes not so much. With my garden in full swing this season we should have more ability to bring more fresh peppers to our sauces in the coming months.

    I bought one this year. The temp is measured by a probe you insert into your growing medium or attach to a suction cup to measure air temps. Pretty long cord (3 foot?).

    Won a free meal amd shirt at the Market Pub House (University City - St Louis) for beating their hot wing challenge. The wings were not particularly good (I think they were doused with Maddog 357). Don't think I will ever do that again.
