No, the Jamaican Mushroom/Squash pepper is a Chinense variety.

  Just to throw in another guess, they look very similar to my Jamaican Mushroom/Squash peppers, as well.

I'm only in my 2nd year planting but I've got some congo black habanero seeds going, sweet apple peppers and hopefully a good 2nd year on my jamaican mushroom peppers :)

Anything you wanna teach my man, lol! I'm so new to all of this. First year growing, canning, making sauces, the works. I've made a few hot sauces over the last few months but I'm still pretty new to that as well. But at the moment I'm just focusing on the pickling process.

Excuse the likely dumb question because I'm REALLY new to all of this but, is this basically a "fastforward" of the pickling process?

Has anyone tried this? Anyone have thoughts? Would it be a good pepper TO pickle or go to mush?

They taste a lot like a sweet bell pepper with a hint of fruitiness behind it. They're DELICIOUS!

Here's a pic of the first pod to ripen, a couple of days before I plucked it, lol. There are probably about 100 pods or so still going and to my complete amazement, even though we're on into September, there are still flowers popping up and podding!
