Wasn't a very good season this year

I got stuff in the ground about 4 weeks after I had wanted too.. I had rain for like 2 weeks after frost, and then it took about 2 weeks for ground to not be a swamp.  It was not a good year for me.  I hope that some of the tons of pods that are green will ripen up before it gets too cold.

    Not a Datil

No clue, it could be a cross... My out there guess is biquinho pepper, but those I thought had a more prominent point.

    Chilhuacle Negro...Cascabel...color when ripe?

I have am growing cascabel and they seem to have been green for a really long time, do they just go from green to mahogany color, or do they transition through other colors first?

Which do you prefer, perlite, or vermiculite?

Perlite, I use vermiculite mostly for seed starting mix.

What's wrong with my bhut? (photo)

I was not trying to say you should not be frustrated....     I just was saying how I am dealing with it.  I had hoped to have this be a great breakout year for my gardening/peppers.  I had some set backs early on, and have learned a ton, and hope that next year will be better.  I just found it...

What's wrong with my bhut? (photo)

I hear you on the crosses or unexpected peppers....  I have found it easier to ask myself if I like the plant, and if the peppers taste good.     I have about 8 plants that did not come out true.  One type is surprisingly good, 2 are decent, 2 are wrong type of plant and one is the worst pepper...

    Garden Salsa Pepper

I might have.... I erased my records on seeds on accident.  If it was you thanks!   I found the heat very similar to jalapeno, not a hot pepper but one that almost everyone will eat and even when its on the hotter end of its range.  They red ones taste better imho, and I have some even getting...

    Garden Salsa Pepper

I do not have a good pic atm but http://bonnieplants.com/products/vegetables/peppers/garden-salsa-hot-pepper is what I would assume is the same pepper.     They look the same and description sure sounds allot like it.  I know the seeds I rec'd were from a grow out so if they are a hybrid, they...

    Garden Salsa Pepper

I wanted to make a post for this pepper type as I have never heard anyone say anything about it.  I was given some seeds on here last year.  I knew nothing about it, and figured I would give it a shot.   They are great....  They are like Jalapenos on steroids....  The peppers resemble a banana...

    Trinidad Perfume

Jimmy Nardello are pretty great, no heat.  I am not giving up my pods of them either...  They are great raw, grilled or fried with just a touch of sea salt.   I do not think anyone that I have taste them have ever disliked them.... Great all around pepper for almost everyone.

    Chocolate Habanero Sauce

Best thing that I have made in the sauce family with them so far was a Cherry BBQ sauce.  It was sweet, spicey, smokey and earthy.  Ive used them for allot of other things but I think that was my best sauce type product with them so far.   I am not good at imagining how sauces, and flavors taste...

Rainbow Chili Seeds - New Hybrids - HOT!

Awesome always good to see, learn about some of the less mainstream peppers!   At one time I had a spread sheet of peppers that I wanted to try in the future and the peppers I have tried.  I have abandoned updating it, and just keep up the peppers that I have tried and what I thought of them.  I...
