    Plants not doing so well

    your plants look like most of mine :/ and most of them have dyed off is it not enough root space or not proper soil is what I am thinking and I did use fertilizer on mine but when I did one time they get like a chemical shock and the fertilized burned the leaves away and it got weak and flimsy...

    How I make Chile powder

    My method is first I dry the chiles then I take them and toss them into a skillet with medium heat and let sit and stir them around to turn them over till they look like they have a nice dark toasty color on them, and toss them on a plate to dry, (I make sure I don't burn the chiles otherwise...

    Yeah you can use them in making salsa, I have never grown the purple ones before but I have heard they are kind of sweet.

    First I toast some dryed chiles on a skillet, then throw them in my Molcajete There happen to be different piquin types Then I start grinding them by hand with a Tejolote Then when it get as fine as I want it I stop Here's a little pic of some salsa I had made with it I hope you enjoyed :)

    Anyone else grow their own garlic?

    I grow garlic I live in Los Angeles, CA. It grows very well I use the garlic they at stores and toss it straight into the dirt no nothing prepped or added.

      Awww Tecolote I love these photos :violin: They are beautiful! I am excited to see that I am not the only one who uses a Molcajete n' Tejolote. The salsa look delicious. I wish I could try some.
