Have been using Seasol this season with some good results, applying every 2 weeks. Also a light hit of Dynamic Lifter ( makes the back yard smell like a market garden ) once a month. Plants are getting a hammering at the moment with this 42 degree heat, a few plants are looking a bit crook, but...

How r ur peppers going in Perth west oz?

Ripped the first ripe pod off last night, it changed colour to an orange/red shade, not sure if it would further ripen to bright red, but was eager to taste. Heat level was around the same as the Fatalii's I have been growing this year, very hot, hotter than a standard Habanero, but not life...

How r ur peppers going in Perth west oz?

Have to agree with you on that David, doesn't look like any of the pic's that I have seen. I am 95% sure that I haven't mixed up my seedlings, and I didn't plant anything that it resembles, like a Red Bhut or similar. The colour is also unusual at this stage, not red, nor yellow, it looks...

How r ur peppers going in Perth west oz?

Definitely not aphids, been keeping a good eye for those little buggers, haven't sighted any as yet.  This issue started with an overwintered plant that started to come back strong in early September, then started to curls and dry up in the growth areas. I originally thought that the cold spell...

How r ur peppers going in Perth west oz?

A few of my plants are developing a severe curl and dry appearance on all of the new growth. Not sure what is happening. Haven't been fertilising too much, nor overwatering. What I have noticed is there are a squillion small green fly/gnat type bugs hanging around all of my plants, when you...

    chinense Heat without the "Chinense"

Hello Chilli aficionado’s, would appreciate some suggestions.   I like to eat fresh chilli’s and have grown up eating mostly common Thai varieties. Have recently been introduced to the world of superhots and have tried Orange Habs, Yellow TS Cardi and a 7 Pot Jonah. All were much hotter than...

    Masters and The Chilli Factory

Looks like Masters here in Perth are well stocked up. I was at Clarkson this Saturday and they had loads of these available. They are very immature plants though, maybe only 2 or 3 sets of leaves, but a great variety.

My first batch of seedlings are really starting to take off under the T5 - under lights for about 14 hours 6.00 am till 8.00 pm.   2 Questions - Is this long enough under lights? When do you remove from the seedling trays and put into larger containers ( cups )?

Opinions on a SFR box of peppers just recieved please

Could this be a new strain -  "The Penicillin Pepper".?? Great for making Pepper Jelly - comes with its own mould.   Don't really no what all the fuzz is about?   Hat's off to those growers who have offered to right the wrongs of others - Top Shelf.
