thanks split...I haven't had to water but once in 5 weeks since we have been getting rain just about weekly...got a 1/2" yesterday...

I have thought about a drip system, but I really enjoy looking at each plant when I water so I probably will just keep on with the hose....

I hear that, we have had a mild Spring till Sat. when it dumped 2" in 15 min. then Sun. where it dumped 3" in 30 min. now that's Spring in Colorado...

I don't even want to say the "H" word and will keep my fingers crossed but that's where the cage's and shade cloth come in handy, made that driving rain over the last two days more of a good sprinkle...

Wow that's some nice plantas dude.

Nice job on sucking the ol' gut in ;) .
That's so he can hold his hit off that cigarette.
Should you smoke around the plants? And then handle them?
You have so many plants that a couple with the virus shouldn't cut into the harvest too much.

Thanks all...

I try not to handle the plants when I am smoking...and really try to keep my hands washed whether I need to or not...

Heaven forbid I lose plants...at least some of the tomatos I am growing are TMV resistant

Yeah crop destroying viruses suck. Still not sure which one I had. The plants look great Aj, I'm gonna have to come raid your fatali patch and eat them all.

That fatalii and scorpion I have growing in my hydro system are seeds from those peppers I got from you last year and they're getting huge. Some of the leaves are bigger than my hand and the scorpion has 1 flower and about 40 flower buds. I'm pretty excited, hopefully I'll have pods soon.

I really hate to hear you won't get all of yours planted AJ, do you know why? Did you start that many more compared to last year? I do so wish I was closer and I would take you up on your offer.

How about friends and neighbors? Co-workers? Homeless folks? Another flea market happening any place close? Could you donate them? Maybe some place could finish the job, do the work and make a few bucks selling powders or what ever.

Sorry for all the advice when I know you don't need it. Best of luck to you.

Patrick...advice is always welcome...thanks...

the reason I have too many plants is twofold...didn't sell as many as I thought I would/could and I decided not to raise as many as I did last year...plus, I am out of soil and don't want to go buy any more...

there are a few flea markets I could go to, but I just don't have the time right now with work, playing in the band, and taking care of my plants...next year will be a different thing and I WILL have the time...

Looks great AJ amazing the amount of peppers you have already... and 1472 miles to the east I just put my plants in the ground

What size container do you grow them in? I initially wanted to grow all of mine in containers, but decided to put them in the ground instead. However I still have a ton of space and may end up putting the remainder say 50 or so in containers and just line them up against a wall like you have yours. By having them in containers does it stunt their growth much?

I'm thinking AJ is going for some Govt. Subsidies, get paid for not growing peppers,to many driving the price down!
Great work there!Yes,I'm getting a bit tired of my weekly trips to but pro-mix,and pots!

love them subsidies.... ;)

I bought a bunch of the blow molded containers like Josh linked to last year and am using a bunch of them this year too...paid a buck each for them...they aren't the sturdiest things in the world but what do you expect for a buck...(would you like fries with that? )

this year, I went to one of the local nursery's here in Fort Worth and they had a bunch of used 5 gallon containers that are pretty thick and I got them for a buck each...

I would definitely check my local nursery's first before getting the blow molded ones...

AJ,in the pic in post 33,next to the porch in the foregroud is that a pepper plant?Certainly looks to be a large one...

AJ, I can only dream of plants like that; I would be over the moon with Nagas a quarter of that size. Fantastic!
