they have another pair "helping with inquiries" for another fire.
hey have you read the story in the courier mail today about the guy on the roof of the pub just a pair of shorts and thongs (flip flops to you americans) he's got a hose and he's putting embers out. The rtowns popping and burning and beneath him in a room is a heap of school kids. All he's got is a garden hose. Its a great photo in the article.

Not quite true, they have caught someone suspected of lighting fires. It still needs proving by the courts and as such the prosecution must prove their case. He may well have done it and be guilty as sin but it needs to be established in the letter of the law.
I'm fearful of some poor loon getting railroaded to make it seem justice has been done. I truly hope they get the right person and bring the hammer down hard.
If he's screwed up enough to do this stuff he's too screwed up not to be caught.
Find him. put him through trial, lock him in a room with no windows & throw away the key.

However you are making a claim that is yet to be proven. Rightly or wrongly this bloke is going to have a tough time getting a fair trial when the public consensus is 'burn him'.
If he's guilt is proven then put him into the general prison population, he doesn't deserve any special rights if he's done what he's been accused of.

No way I could be involved in looking for bodies in this manner, I've attended two fatalities on the rail network. They were bad enough to view without seeing children/babies bodies.
The size of this disaster is something new for Australia I hope these people have a good support network around them. I know I'd need it.

I do hear ya mate. Its just very hard to hold faith in our legal system sometimes. Perhaps im a bone head, but justice and karma dont always just happen in my eyes.
It just gets more tragic by the day, i heard 7000 homeless last night. And you would have to be a special breed to continue those searches.
Im just thankfull the weather eased up so much this last week. All this happened over a 12 hour period. I cant imagine if that weather had persisted for 3 or 4 days.
