Great job! There ARE a lot of pods on that Aji Oro. I'm really liking that Rocoto Amarillo. I'm very interested to hear what you think of the flavor when it's ready. Beautiful stuff!

Thanks !
The Aji Oro is the most productive from all my Pubes.
Rocoto Amarillo is a good one too, I will wait a few days to taste one
Cheers

Did the plant have hairy leaves and stems and purple flowers? If so, it's a Pubiscens variety, and black seeds are normal. The Pubes also don't like excessive heat, and if that's what you have, it might have dropped the pods due to stress.
Yes,Aji Largo is Pubescens.
I think you're right about the heat stress.

It looks like your plants are in pots... could you move the ones affected by the heat to a place where they get mid-day shade? If not, maybe some shade netting over them would help. Another trick you might try if neither of those things are feasable... put a largish chunk of ice in the pot around noon. It'll cool the plant somewhat and water it slowly at the same time.

At least these varieties did well for you. :) I've never heard of most of these varieties... I hope you'll do reviews of them when they ripen.
