Bodeen's 2012 Grow Log - THE END!!!!!

Anxious to get dirt under my nails, so I might as well start this thing off.

Got an unfinished basement that is mainly storage. It has an old 1957 bathroom in it. I tore that out today and will be using that as my grow room as soon as I get it done. It is small enough a small heater will keep my temps in check. (Pictures of progress will come once I get it looking better lol)

Last year I built a grow table and this year I am putting up a shelving unit with grow lights on many of the shelves.

My one garden area that will be expanded on this year I believe. 40x30

My other garden which is longer, but not as wide.

Then I put this row in last year and my thoughts we strawberries, but it might be a row of peppers.

My motto is Rabbit eats garden, Gardener eats rabbit. They are the reason I have to fence the gardens

I also plan on doing some peppers in pots this year.

My tray of peppers last year went 71 out of 72 popped. Hope I can get these results this year.

Planted 216 peppers Saturday, 66 different varieties. Also put up 4 shelving units in the grow room. Sorry no pics. I have pictures, but currently my internet went down on me Saturday and I am waiting on delivery of parts. As soon as I get back online, I will upload some new pics. Hopefully I am online before I get blooms lol

Still no Internet at home, but the peppers are popping all over the place. Hopefully I can get back on after work tonight and get some pictures uploads. Looking good so far!!!

Wow, a week without Internet. Peppers are coming along well though. Superhots are slow getting going though. Will get a list up tomorrow of what I have up so far after a week in the ground.

First seed up, in two days.

Looks like you will be neck deep in peppers before you know it....impressive grow room.Looking forward to watching your season progress, and that is some list!

Now we're talkin'! You have some great starts there, bodeen!
You will be having transplanting fun real soon! I'll check back later,
for sure!

My replanted canary bell peppers are still not up, my replanted thick cayennes are starting to show some life. Using my own harvested seeds instead of the seeds I had left from last year.

I deleted my PM so if you got some chocolate seeds from me and they're not coming up, I will know I had crap seeds that I bought :(

First time ever I had a pepper come up (tobago) and the wither away. Never had that issue before and it sucks. If I do any more replanting of peppers, it will have to be when the round of tomato seed planting happens this weekend.

The remaining two starfish are popping up as are all three of the newly planted thick cayenne from my own seeds. I guess my seed packet from last year isn't viable any more. At least they still have the time to get going.

Started doing some re-potting today. Going to finish up tomorrow after work. Still no yellow Trinidads, choc bhuts or habs. Everything else is doing okay. Some leaf yellowing, might be a bit too much water...I hope that was it.

The 3 thick cayenne that wouldn't germ, I replanted with 3 of my own harvested seed. Now I have 6 plants up lol.

Everything looks great; the transplants look nice under the lights!
Good luck going forward.

Jumping ahead a bit here, but I just added a fish cleaning station in my new boat garage/hobby shop, and it will also work out nice to clean my peppers when they get ripe. Also going to have a spot for the dehydrator there.

Not the stainless steel one I wanted, but the price was right (free) and it will work nice as a fillet station and a place to wash off my knives and such.
