Brisket help please....

So here is the final display.

Taste 8 of 10

Appearance 8 of 10

Slicing 8 of 10

Flavor 7 of 10

Overall first time beginner 6 of 10

Lots of room for improvement but now I have a base point to start with


Its tender but not melt in your mouth..still has that chew factor slightly.

It's fine for the first time and don't beat yourself up. That wasn't a prime brisket with all that good marbled meat. If it's a little tough just slice it thin and add that gravy to it.
 
I hate to cook brisket, it's a crap shoot on getting a good one unless you pay too much for junk meat. Even if it's a good marbled brisket you have to serve it warm or it gets dry, I'd rather cook beef ribs.
