chsy83's 2014

2014 is here, and it behooves us chileheads to get our grow on once again.  I had planned on growing a smaller number of varieties this year, with more plants per variety . . . but there are so many to try.  I will be at least starting several varieties this year (several friends have expressed interest in some plants if I start them).

Grow list:
Trinidad Scorpion Butch T
Yellow 7 Pot, Large
Charapita Yellow

Jimmy Nardello
Black Pearl
Thai (coworker gave seeds, not sure variety)

Aji Limon

Manzano

so far . . .

Finally figured it out . . .

Flickr changed some stuff up . . .

Turned the water on after the above pics and plants really perked up . . . top branches flexed up a few inches on some of the varieties.  Saw Saturday that I have some Orchid pepper pods forming . . . pics later.

Applied AACT yesterday . . . right before the rain.  But I knew that, so I didn't cut it beforehand.

Next watering, it will get some Epsom Salts.

You've got a good lookin' batch of peppers growing.  I love the look of those starfish pods.

Thanks!  This is my first year growing the starfish, so I am excited to try it out and see how it tastes.

I am going to go ahead and apply this tea today because I am going to be busy tomorrow . . . I think that I read that you have a higher bacteria over fungus ratio at 24 hrs and a higher fungal ratio at 48.  I normally do a 48 hr brew, but time . . .

I think that I will refill bucket and leave teabag in and use it tomorrow on my box garden, just pour bucket in.  Whereas today is a foliar feed.
