I've pondered this whole Standard/ Metric thing for a long time. Being in construction, everything is Feet, Inches, etc.
But when I get out my food scale, I have to use metric. What's easier to divide by 4, (say... ground beef): 1lb.-11 1/2 oz. OR 780 grams?... duh

On the flip side, a 2 X 4 should NEVER be called a 3.81 X 8.89 cm

Crazy world...
