Flavours of the Caribbean (Mainly)

Thought it was about time I put on blog on here as requested by a good friend Gary (wind chicken).
I got to know Gary having done a seed trade over 2 years ago via fb, and have always admired his growing.
As title says most of my grow will be bonnets as I love Caribbean cuisine especially Jerk chicken, curry goat etc.

I started some rocotos quite early as I know they take forever to ripen..

Will make a proper grow list when I receive the p.dreadie select seeds kindly sent by Gary and one I'm pleased to have as a memory to Erin.

Another one already up and waiting to be potted on is Carrot Jolokia which I was kindly sent by Ben (bpiela), took ages to sprout a hook, but got one in the end.

Just waiting on a few stubborn bonnets to show hooks before finalizing what's a keeper.

Know quite a few of the british growers on here as there active members of a forum we all share

Trident
Dennish
Snagglepuss
Heefy Si Borg
Jay
and also Plantguy 76 Jason who is active here and a couple of other forums.

Finally had a chance to catch up, Sim... Your polytunnel
really got things off to a great start this season.  Lots of
gorgeous pods and healthy looking plants! Stay away
from that Aji Mango plant, it looks like it could reach out
and grab you!  Hope you get some co-operation from
the weather gods...

Banner year for you, my friend!

I always feel like I'm behind lately, so I've been catching up today, while Harvey tries to mess up our day.

Sim, you're killing it! Funny how I look at the pics and your comments, and then read the comments of other THP peeps, then I start to write, and I've lost it, and have to scroll back up the reread. Is that age or the 70's coming back to haunt me? Either way, if this continues I won't even know it after awhile. ;)

But seriously now, the Mahala cross looks splendid, the FB Orange looks like a winner as well, in fact they all do.

So glad you're getting great results :P

Keep it going bro!

Always nice to see you drop in Scott. I'm with you on been forgetful due to hard living, I use to say if we had a good night we could never remember it [emoji28] [emoji28] , yeah plants are rocking buddy.
We had a real warm humid April May June which give the plants a great boost at start of season.
Iv just deseeded about 1000 cayenne and now smoking them with cherry dust. [emoji6]
Also made a mango and kiwi chilli jam with 2 carbonero pods and a CGN21500 . nice tingle on the lips.
Eating what we grow makes it a sweet reward for the graft through the season.
Happy growing bro.
