Hickory smoked Almonds

I have numerous friends who are raving about this product that is used for cold smoking cheese, nuts, salt, any many other uses. Here is the link [url="http://www.amazenproducts.com/"]http://www.amazenproducts.com/

It is being used by many smokers who have difficulty smoking at low/cold temps. It's not expensive, and uses sawdust for fuel. Good luck my friend.

If yopu're in a hurry, try this method.
Using a grill, put 3-5 hot charcoals to one side, then put some soaked hickory wood chips in foil and fold tightly. Then poke3-5 small holes in the foil, and put the foil pouch on top of the coals. You can then put your almonds on the grill using some type of container or foil. this will allow it to burn at a slower rate than if you just dropped the chips right onto the coals. This is the same method some folks use to smoke when using a grill with the indirect heat method. Good luck my friend.

Keepin with the trend of smoked almonds Blue Diamond came out with a couple flavors I am going to try right now for the first time...................Habanero BBQ and Salt and Vinegar. First up the Habanero BBQ as that is the most interesting......Tangy BBQ taste........a little heat on the back end. Smokey and good. Handful #2.....Sweet taste. I'll give it a 3.5 out of 5. Can't really taste too much Hab but these are a winner in my book. Now the Vinegar and Salt ones.........Well it is what'd you'd expect. A more pronounced vinegar taste than I'm use to but good overall. It's a little weird having these almonds as i'm use to chips but eh, whatya gonna do. I didn't mean to jack this thread but it was smoked almonds and imo Blue Diamond has some great smoked almonds. :)
