How many peppers are you growing?

I'm in the too many group....have 8 trays of 72 and eyeing more trays. I need to replenish my seed stock. Thanks to all who have traded with me, I'm busy getting them in pots. I have no idea where I'm going to grow them at...grass is out this year, yard is going to be all peppers.

We had some neighbor kids who a few years back damaged and wasted a LOT of tomatoes, mom brought guilty party over and we had a talk. This little girl is older now, was telling me recently that she and her brother had gotten in the peppers too. They got some hot juice in their eyes. The pepper patch is now safe. They never came to say anything about the "hot" we grew..consequences of their actions.

These are mine this year so far:

1. Hot Lemon, capsicum baccatum
2. Czechoslovakian Black, capsicum annuum
3. Peruvian Purple, capsicum frutescens
4. Romanian Chili, capsicum annuum
5. Red chili from north Bali, unknown species. I'm excited about this one. My guess is that it's an annuum.

4 out of 5 have shown, and only one of each. I will set another round soon! =)

Planted a tray every week in February and think I'm done with the variety. All are still in cell trays and I don't plan on keeping all the starts, will thin out at each pot up. Had more variety last year, decided not to grow many habaneros that I have grown in the past in favor of more super hots. This is what has been planted with great germination rates on most, 7 Pot Primo only germed one so far while all others in the same tray are almost 100%. My list includes 20 or so compared to 45 varieties last season, same amount of final plants are planned at about 130. Just put the jalapeno seed in the dirt tonight and that usually means I'm done planting peppers.;) New plants not including what what I've overwintered.

Brown 7 Pod "Douglah"
7 Pod Brain Strain
Yellow 7 Pot
Orange 7 Pot
