I got some veggie mix from them the other day that was pretty rank. I had it in the back of my van. Pooooowee. My corn and cucumbers are loving it though.

Photo's someone say photo's.
Shouldn't have said that because here they come!
These couple of photo's contain some Chilli torture so be warned they may be disturbing!

Not too sure if this is a big ass caterpillar or just the stupid weather we are having

No other leaves seem to be munched on though

So what is TC 07077 (AVRDC) and where'd you get it. Me want :D

I'm pissed that my blondie seeds didn't germinate. :(

Found this little fella in my garden today :) First ripe pod. I ate it and it was nice and hot for a little one.

Cool Mega, nice to have some ripe pods.

And what is the story on the Punta Giallo, Micca? That's a cool looking pod too.

I'm pissed that my blondie seeds didn't germinate. :(

I tried my first one the other day and I really don't reckon you're missing much. A bit disappointed as I've heard really good things about the taste! Maybe I just have to eat a few more before I really start to appreciate 'em. Happens sometimes.

Happy to throw some seeds your way if you want, Moo? But yeah, not isolated or anything though and bees have been friggin' crazy this year. I dunno, it's good to see 'em though... I was a bit worried for a bit there that they had become extinct or something!

I love the purple colour of NJP pods!

Hey Blue flames, The Rocoto's are real nice specially the Orange it has a great flavour.
I'll have some seed at the end of season if anyone wants any.
Hey Gas,
Imagine having a hundred Rocoto Oranges each weighing 49grams on your plant, Now that would be impressive!

I don't know too much about Punta Giallo. It is a Chinense from unknown origin.
It reminds me very much of Limon. Nice Chinense flavour with a bit of heat(hab type heat).

It smelled like me? Must be good. :D

Wait... what?? I don't smell like rotting flesh and things!

Yeah, a really nice rich earthy smell is what you want. A "rainforest" smell sounds like it would be friggin' awesome!

Maybe the demand for the stuff is too high ATM and the company isn't composting properly/long enough?? You guys all need to back off and let them do it right! :P  I dunno... that's strictly theory. I don't know anything about the company and I am not accusing them of anything.

Looking great there Blue flames.
The ripening Chilli looks like a yellow 7-pod. I am assuming you havn't tried one yet?
They are one of my favs at the moment, great heat and excellent flavour. Mmmmmmm :drooling:

Micca

hmm, im going to get another garden prepped this weekend :) see how we go, it will be all under shade cloth so will be a good comparison compared to the extreme sun plants

Mega other then looks I don't rate Blondie all that much either. Much prefer Aji lemon.
I don't recall anything about the flavour :P I just wanted a white aji looking pod. I've got Habanero White and Cheiro White growing but no buds yet.

I want to c mr moo out with an umbrella trying to stop the rain :) pic plz I know ur doing coz I wud be 70mm down that way hey , sunny and warm north the river as usual :)
I was really worried about the rain but the mature ones in the beds are all sprouting fresh new growth, and masses of new buds.... they loved it!. Maybe a little light green/ yellow new growth but otherwise good. The wrinkly problems I said were the fault of the rain before were obviously all from over feeding.

The medium sized pots are another story. They've got that old unhappy overwatered thing going on, with leaves dropping and looking generally sick. Its not a big problem because they are all doubles n triples etc... I have at least one of each of those varieties already in the main bed.

The newest potted up seedlings are busting out of themselves, look fresh and vigorous. They are going into the ground or pots this weekend. I'll take some photos then.

The shade cloth has worked out really good for me this season. Much better than the full sun they were getting.

Just got through squishing another wave of teeny-tiny seedling-destroying under-leaf caterpillars. Fortunately, not too much damage this time.

My largest seedling is definitely starting to move, but not much growth on the rest. I think Ill give them some more sun and buy a bit of shadecloth to hang above them on the hot days. Might hit bunnings later today to see if I can rig something up so I dont have to carry them all around the side the minute it hits the 30s.

The orange capsicums I just tossed into a random rose pot continue to look stronger than anything I am raising in seedling mix. Waiting on my jiffy pot sowings to germinate to see how those go.

In other news, my first Yellow 7 germinated today. Have taken it straight outside to let it get some sun as that seems to strengthen them early.

In other other news - my stunted seedlings, apparently, can't even take the heat today! I put them out in what little sun we're having and they wilt like nobody's business.
