I'm old emough to remember when...

when there was no internet and everything was from a mail order catalog.
when cars sounded good and were made from metal instead of plastic.

when monarch butterflies were everywhere

I remember when it wasn't dangerous to go south of the border.

I remember watching Three's Company, Sanford and Son, All in the Family, Charlie's Angels, all that 70's stuff.

I remember when the revolution was the scariest ride at Magic Mountain.  Rode it backwards too.

I remember when finding an empty pop bottle would get you 2 cents at the corner grocery store .......that would be end up paying for 2 pieces of penny candy..........usually "Mary Jane's"

When you had a choice between two pieces of bazooka bubble gum or two twizzlers for a penny. You could get a huge canybar for a nickle or a comic book for a dime. Hell I even sold gas for 35cents a gallon.

Can opener top beverages
in circulation mercury dimes, buffalo nickles, and wheat stack penny s
somebody else pumped your gas, cleaned your windows and asked to check your oil
when all McDonald's were red and white and there was no indoor dining
.05 postage stamp
Frito corn chips were packaged in a paper material
PF flyers
.25 hotdogs at the ball park
the TV had to warm up before you got a picture and zoomed into a white dot in the center of the screen when you turn it off
when right was right and wrong was wrong and everyone knew the difference.

When there was a number sold on every Mcdonalds counting custommers.
We got a dime from the tooth fairy and thought we hit the lotto.
We used to dress up to go to the mall.

Church meant best dress shoes & tie.

A cuss word meant soap to clean out your mouth.

No short pants unless it was at least 80f.

. . . when gas and Pall Mall cigarettes were the same price - $.29.

. . . when cheeseburgers at McD's were $.12 and were too expensive, so we had the $.10 ones at the Lure.

. . . when women's capris were called Pedal Pushers.

When Barbie Benton was a bunny.

When they were still looking for Squeeky From.

When hearing the ice cream man meant you went looking for mom instead of hiding from the kids.

When the Electric Company was a show not a bill.

When you could hear the honeybees out in Spring.

When the maple tree down the street used to drop it's leaves in Autumn.

When there were no flies out in Winter.

When just the thought of Summer didn't bring a feeling of dread.
