Jamison's "Red Dirt Grow" PLANTOUT 5/4/14

It's that time of year again, although a couple weeks behind. I just arrived in Tennessee, moving from Wisconsin not even two weeks ago. The fam and I are all settled in and I'm officially ready to start some seeds! Being in a completely different part of the country, and growing in completely different soil than I'm used to, I still have high hopes. I'm sure I'll be able to whip a garden into shape in no time. I'm def gonna have to get out there very soon and till a large plot. Enough blabberin, I'll get to a list. I'll also list the seed source if I'm sure of where I got them. Seeds are going to soak in distilled water for 20-24 hours starting tonight or tomorrow morning and most will be put into Rapid Rooters soaked in a weak solution of Kangaroots and water, and a few in soil with a heat mat underneath the germ tray. I have a few Manzanos sprouted already, a couple Rennie clones, and a White Devils Tongue sprouted and working on it's first true set of leaves. I'll try to fill this with as much useful info, pics, and hopefully vids as I can. Thanks for checkin this out!

Been there done that with the roof 20 years ago. Used a shovel to remove the old material, went back with a metal roof. Now I need to replace a few pieces. Had the rain issues as well, used a large tarp and made it through OK.

4PM is the hottest part of our day during the summer, in fact there's no going back outside for me anymore ;)  Tomorrow is always another day.

Great updates, Jamison! All those podshots are amazing, like you I also love the look of the Moruga Caramel but the not Pink Tiger does have a funny shape :) Those OSU Blue are really beautiful, everything is already so far ahead! Great job and trust me I know what you mean by little time (8 months old and 2 year old kid ;)).

Wonderful pod porn Jamison beautiful garden all the plants are loaded with pods.  Grow logs like your and many others here is the sole reason why I rejoined THP.  So many varieties your going to be up to eye balls in pods very soon.  Thanks for your helpful hints in getting this pepper cloning stuff tuned in also.  Cool pod shape and texture on the Scotch Bonnet cross hard to improve on an already great tasting 7 pod but this might just be perfect.  Connecting with other great pepper growers is what makes this hobby so enjoyable.  Stay safe up on the roof it is a much bigger fall than it looks.

A flat shovel is def the right tool to use.  I always used a pitchfork until a buddy said to try using a flat shovel.  Used it this time and there is not turning back.  Well,  I'm never doing a roof as long as I live again.  I can promise you that!!!  At least I know it's getting done right!

Thanks again for all the tomato seeds Stefan!  I'll be ordering from you next year for sure.  That "Not Pink Tiger"  is really throwing out some weird shaped pods to say the least.  Almost reminds me of a Turk's Cap.  Time is of the essence my friend!  It sure is valuable!

Those caramels are FRIGHTENING. Looks like they bred with some kind of evil lobster descended from the first ring of hell. Beware. Beware.
They really are frightening man.  I'm shakin in my boots over here.  I really want to try one, but on the other hand I really don't want to try one if you know what I mean ;)

Great thanks man- well have to do a garlic/seed trade this fall.   Question about your Caramel Morugas I know we talked about these last fall, did you get seeds from junglerain? I have 4 plants from seeds from JR and really hope they end up looking like yours
That would be awesome man!  Your garlic is absolutely amazing brotha!  Yes,  the Caramel Moruga seeds I got were from JungleRain.

Glad you like the tomato varieties, the Datterini is taking over my tunnel over here... Don't think I'm gonna have more then 2 plants next season ;) The not Pink Tiger does look like an Turk's Cap indeed, very neat. Don't forget to save seeds of it ;)

SHITE!!  Great looking pods ... those Marouga Caramels look awesome ... great shape ... The growing season looks like it has been good so far ... nice work bro!

Hi Jamison,

Nice assortment in your grow.

Great pics!  Your plants are beautiful and so many pods  That Urfa Biber is ripening up nicely.  I have a couple nearly that large but not turning color yet.  I am looking forward to trying them (thank you Buckeye Peppers - Mike sent me seed for winning his OSU-Michgan contest last fall)\

Your Pink Tigers look really cool.  I'll watch to see what they look like as they ripen up.

Wow man, holy crap. I'm getting caught up on Glogs tonight and ... damn. You've got some REALLY nice looking plants all loaded for war.

Fantastic, dude.

You up for trading a few pod varieties later this year via SFRB? Looking to consume as many new pepper varieties as I can this year, and in a few weeks I'll have way the hell more than I can possibly use. (Read as: I'm already looking for people to dump pods on and making a list. lol)
