My obsession with heat and food...JoynersHotPeppers

I have been a long time lurker and finally joined. I figured I'd start posting some of the things I cook or make with the peppers I grow.

First up

This is a Thai Cucumber salad I make with a rare Japanese cucumber I grow, peppers and cilantro are mine as well. I'll take better pictures with the next batch. I have enough stuff right now to do about 10 more 32oz jars.

Twins, both rubbed down with 2 different rubs and contain my 15 pepper blend.

Lobster roll with previous nights lobster leftovers. Contains one of my pepper blends.

Homemade lump crab cakes with black bean corn salsa I threw together. Cake have my tri-thai blend and 15 blend in the salsa.

Speaking of sucking, was breaking down some Mahi a few minutes ago for Mahi tacos tonight and pulled this out of a filet!

Pico is ready for the fish tacos to come later on this evening after minions are in their rooms!

Hey, where is the powder dusting on that last baked potato?

A little too late, but I'm putting in an official request for brisket next time you make a pot of beans!!!

Also, was that Mahi pan seared?

Potato was a powder free night, rare but does occur once in a while. Believe it or not that Mahi is deep fried but I know secrets. :)
 
You sure on a jerk kick lately. You gotta try that stuff on some shrimp! I have my own bbq thread going today, check it out. I think it may have been you who suggested smoking a corned beef brisket(?) Well that is on the menu along with a bunch of other stuff.

I picked up 2 pounds of local Carolina fresh shrimp yesterday. Maybe I will jerk them tonight!
