Peter S - 2017 grow

Here's my grow so far for this year. I started these early January. The large peppers in the basement are over winters. I'm trying to get my grow down, to around half (or a little more) than last year. I'm hoping this will be more manageable and less wasted peppers :) My grow methods this year will be Kratky (fill and forget and static nutrient level systems), self watering containers (diy earthboxes), and grow bags with potting mix on drip system fed with Master Blend. Also will continue to run some indoor hydro using DWC and sprayaponic methods. All my peppers will be fed with mix of MasterBlend, Magnesium Sulfate and Calcium Nitrate.

Here're my overwinters, hard to distinguish from this angle, but the back left is Jamaican Hot Chocolate, back right is Yellow Chiltepin, front left is Thai Dragon and right is Tien Tsin.

Peppers in AeroGarden Bounty. Back center is D3's Aji Painapple f2, front right is Yellow Dystopia, back left is Sugar Rush Peach and in front of that a 7-Pot Primo. Of all my AeroGarden peppers, the Painapple will stay in the bounty, and everything else will be transplanted to something else.

In the foreground here on right is Brazilian Red Olive, and beside it is a Reaper x Moruga f3. AeroGarden has a Cereja da Amapa, Andy's King BOC, Chocolate Unreaper, Aji Charapita and 7-Pot Chaguanas Yellow.

I still have a bag full, been meaning to make a sauce or ferment from them. After having fireland foods lemon drop sauce I guess baccatums sauces aren't so bad. it was just salt, vinegar and peppers.

Not sure if i'll try to ferment them or just go straight into a sauce. I don't have any cultures to start a ferment.
I took those you sent me and added with Aji Charapita, Aji Fantasy and Sugar Rush Peach made a nice jelly. I called it Lemon Bomb, had lemon juice and lemon extract, sweetened with honey and stevia.

Looks great Peter.
Aji Pineapple certainly looks  like a beast in that aerogarden. Maybe get a couple of generations in 1 year?

Do you do everything hydroponically? And can you offer any advise on cloning? I have a small areogarden to utilize, plan on getting more if it is beneficial. Thanks.
I use some version of hydroponics for most everything. Cloning works really well in the AG. So far I've had great success with it. http://thehotpepper.com/topic/63939-how-to-clone-pepper-plants-using-the-aerogarden/

One thing I'm going to start doing differently is using a sharper/cleaner instrument to make the final cuts with. The snips I have seem to work fine, but I imagine it introduces some risk to the damaging the plant tissue. I found on eBay a box of 100 sterile surgical scalpel blades with a free handle, for 7.66. I ordered that yesterday and will start using those instead of the snips.

Wick system experiment I started last night with a 5 gallon bucket and 6 inch net pot. Has a strip of micro fiber hanging down in 2.5 gallons of nutrient solution. The plant is White Devil's Tail that was originally in a Kratky container. I used coco coir for the substrate.
