That Red Pumpkin is awesome looking! How's the flavor on those guys? Look to be about the size of a quarter??? Looks like they might make cool little poppers/stuffers.

I'll let you know about that one. Poppers aren't my first choice for Baccatums but I'd imagine with a nice sweet, hot sausage stuffing, that could be really tasty.

Ahhhh....the ripening of the wilds! Great stuff. Seems like it takes forever to get 1, then 2...then pretty soon you can finish your harvest take it inside and come back out to find 10 more that you would swear weren't there 5 minutes ago! Great varieties!

Just to be sure I had enough Trinidad Scorpions, I supplemented my current crop with some more from the fields at the Bowers Chile Festival. Ironically, the one variety that been producing a lot recently are my Rocotos. Looks like I'll be going "Rocoto Loco" soon!!!

Looking good Dan. I'm finally getting some of the Sonoran Chiltepin grown from your seed to ripen, they are really great. Potentially my favorite tasting wild pepper...
