Sandwich of the Month

Hey y'all. A recent discussion with THP about Cuban sandwich's in another thread has inspired me to begin this thread.

What is a sandwich? According to wiki...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandwich

I myself shall endeavor to post a Sandwich of the Month for every month. This month I tip my hat to one of my favorite sandwiches, The Cuban.

While I encourage y'all to post up your Cuban for SOTM, for the sake of popularizing the thread, feel free to post your sandwich. Be it BLT, turkey sub, gyro, po'boy, etc.

Some rules.

1 ~ Meet the criteria as linked above according to wiki.

2 ~ True, burgers are sandwiches but as we have other threads devoted to them, we will not include them here in this thread. No burgers.

3 ~ List ingredients and methods of how the sandwich was put together.

4 ~ No matter if it is a classic reuben or tuna salad, include a heat ingredient.

5 ~ Pics are mandatory. Talk is cheap. Show us the money!

6 ~ No tortillas. We have taco threads already, and that also means no stinkin' "wraps".

7 ~ Have fun.

I'll post up my sandwich shortly.

Bon appetit!

Just had this discussion here at our house ...

Doubles ... pretty much always a mistake ...

The caloric bun savings don't pan out over the next 12 hrs ...

If you are that hungry, just have two, with the correct ratio ... chances are you won't eat again for half-a-day afterwards ...

Doubles are annoying to hold together while eating, having to open so wide for them, and usually lead to the gurgles and nasty dump ...

We canned the double here.

I reckon you were talkin' about a double stacked somethin' or other chingaderra like a Turkey Avo BLT or similar sheeit.

Or maybe like a Monte Cristo.

For true extry bread and fillin's make for a very hefty sammich.

And often only devoured by very husky manly men.

Then again I am a man of logic.

No matter how big the sammich or how its made....

I stop eating when I even think I'm getting full.

Because if you think you've had enough....

You surely have.

Your stomach on the other hand...

Will lie to you.

True story.

I missed the double cheesburger I only saw the corned beef sammie. Must be way back.

Each time double-stack something I lament the decision while mouth-fisting it .

The terms double stacking and fisting should never be used in the same sentence.

That only leads to more deviant postings.

Please post again that I may respond with a more lewd and suggestive response.

You know me.

I'm not really lewd.

I only suggest it.

Roast Lamb, Pecorino cheese, with a mixed green salad topped with my "Smoke 'N' Fire" sauce. All held in place inside a sesame burger bun. This was a quick snack so cheese remained unschmelted and buns untoasted.
