Sleeper 2020

Hello everyone,

Hope that everyone is doing good!

I wanted to start this grow log a month ago but been busy. I forgot to save my early on photos from seed start but oh well here is what I did save up to now.

I will be doing things different this year.

Last season I went organic route for growing and enjoyed the process however it was a lot of learning. Also last season I went with drip irrigation and built out my own set up which was interesting to learn the durations and how often was the best to water. At the end of the season I had it down. I also used 7gallon fabric pots.

Soo this season I will be skipping the drip irrigation, the fabric pots( well maybe only use 4or5) I will be continuing to grow organically and up my game with using data from soil tests to add amendments to the grow area. So planting in ground this season and brew my own tea. For watering I will be tapping into a few sprinkler lines and running soaker hose.


Game plan: 110 plants

Roughly 58-67 different varieties

Still a large amount of work to be done with cleaning up my grow area.

72 healthy looking plants there, my friend!
 
I'm a few days away from topping some of
my seedlings as well. Especially the wilds
and baccatums.

Yeah I am worried that I may have started these guys a little too soon because idk if I will move them up into another container before they got out in March. It’s hard to fight the urge to drop seeds early

I am needing to start about 4 more varieties that failed to pop and or died along the way.

While I have been away from doing updates I have been talking with and collaborating a local Italian restaurant owner. I’ll have to get the video soon from him but here is some photos from some dishes made using two of my sauces.

So I now have my sauce being used in his restaurant which is exciting but also means I need to focus and start taking my next steps

Haha yeah the older smoker is my favorite it can hold a large amount. I have done 2 full racks of ribs a pork shoulder , loin, and 10 chicken quarters all in at one time.

So never got to plug in my whole grow line up this season but the head count is done and the results are in..... 110 total plants and 3 random seedlings
