A closer look at the pods. I think they're about 2 weeks old or so.

Thanks for reading guys I'll keep you up to date on how it goes. And please if you notice anything I should try or change please let me know. Thanks for all the input ahead of time. Keep Growing!!!

Nice starts - good luck with the transplanting. With your new light
you will be kept really busy! Great pic of the flower - jalapeno or cayenne?

PG that would be my Jalapeno flowering. Got about 9 more buds going to pop soon too. Can't wait. I'm trying to keep my plants small so I know a lot of you are thinking I should pinch off the first few buds but I'm just going to let them go. :D

Some more pics from transplanting day.

photo48.jpg

Here's what most of the root balls looked like.

photo49.jpg

And here's a another look.

photo50.jpg

And here's the peppers I potted up and eagerly awaiting the new light.

Still wondering how long it takes for a pepper to ripen... I feel like these "bhut" have been on my plant forever now. lol I'm so impatient.

Edit:Some spelling and grammar issues.

Alright guys here is some Mini Pod Pornage... These little guys just set on my "Bhut"...

photo51.jpg

The bigger of the two.

photo52.jpg

The Runt of the family...

photo53.jpg

And this guy just started to change color but I'm still not 100% sure what type of pepper it is.

Anyone have an Idea??

Alright exciting news and cause I don't really like to type I'm just going to show a lot of pictures. Enjoy

And I finished the night with a brew or two... The Wild Blue beer actually turned out to be purple with a very strong fruity flavor. I think I'm goin to start enjoying some Stouts again. They always make me happy.

Thanks for viewing.

Lovin the setup man! I bet your face lit up as soon as you hit the power button on that T5, I knew mine did!

Cant wait to see more!

Allright, GT! The last photo says it all. Well deserved!
Your progress is always great fun to check in on.
Looking forward to great things from ya now that you are illuminated!

Nice light! I'm still too cheap to even use CFL's! Getting more and more tempted every time I get to look at one of those nice t5's...and see how great the plants do under them. Hope you enjoy it. Looking forward to progress pics!

Nice light.... I have never seen them at home depot. Watch your height with young sprouts. IMO cannabis growers overhyped these light. I will admit I jumped on the bandwagon and bought one. The only + I have seen is they keep the growth compact. I have seen people running t8 and 12's putting out nicer plants than myself. Light is just one element of it all. Nice looking grow so far and have a great season.

Yes sir it did and then I was blinded cause I looked into the light. Terrible idea. The one that I got would fit almost perfectly in that space you have. Only 95 after tax and free shipping.

I can't wait to show Progress I just hope my little guys enjoy the light as much as I do.

The Plant lights from HomeDepot are only sold online. Yeah now that I have the light situation under control I'm going to work on the other aspects of the game. Reading and learning as much as possible from these forums as I can.

....mmmmmmmm...beer! Sweeeet looking light =)

Mmmmm I love Beer. My cousin is actually sending me a book about brewing your own beer. That will be my next hobby once I get a better grasp on this one. :D

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Oh and some more Pod Pornage... and a question "How long should I keep the peppers on the plant after the color has ripened all the way?? I want to make sure the seeds are fully mature.

IMG_0913.jpg

And what the heck are these?? lol The pack said Bhut Jolokia but I'm pretty sure it isn't.

IMG_0912.jpg

Another one.

IMG_0911.jpg

All right thats all I got I'll have picture of the other two that set later on. Thanks for viewing. :D

That light will kick ass... Not sure of the pepper, but it has good seeds now, but i like to leave mine on the plant til completely ripe...not for the seeds, but for flavor...

Be careful with the light. I would START at 12+ inches. I lost a few leaves in the past few days and I started at 9, 10, and 10.5 inches. It is always easier to start high and move lower than fry the babies and loose the leaves. The certain thing is there is a ton of new growth, they just need space and airflow.

New light. Pods.
Beer. What more
do you need?
Life is good, GT

Good call. I kind of left it at the same hight has my last light which was 4-5" and lets just say it opened a little can of whoop ass on my little guys.
I raised it a little more and I think I might raise it again tomorrow. We'll see. Thanks again for the info sir.

Barely Clothed women is the only other thing I can think. lol

Well any who guys. My two new "Bhuts" actually look a little more Bhut like. So I'm not sure whats up with this thing. If I get enough Pods I might just send one to you Matt and have you test it and tell me what they heck you thing it is. lol Cause as you can tell from my Signator I'm a "Super Noob".
Anyways I might upload a few pics tomorrow but nothing has really changed yet. Thanks again for viewing.

Have a spicy day.

Alright guys here are just a few pics. I transplanted my Two Orange Habs. I call them the twins now. Ok but enough talk onto the pictures.

First off just a helpful hit. If you ever find that you need a 5 gal. Bucket from Hydroponics, Mixings soil, or if your lucky a really good harvest. I would check your neighborhood FireHouse Subs. They sell there left over Pickle Buckets for 2 dollars no tax and it goes to charity. How awesome is that and they look sweet too.

photo56.jpg

This is the one I picked up at a FireHouse in Atl, GA.

So I've never mixed my own soil so I thought I might try this time.

photo57.jpg

Mushroom Compost, Black Kow, Burpee Seed Starting Mix, Peat Moss, and Some Perlite.

photo55.jpg

Nice and airy.

photo59.jpg

Here is what they both look like. Only got a shot of one. :(

photo58.jpg

An Upskirt if you will of one of the twins. (Orange Hab)

photo60.jpg

I think I'm going to start doing this with all my peppers from now on. I don't fill the whole solo cup with soil just about half. I let the rootball get nice and big like this and then I transplant into the same solo cup filling it 100%.

Well that is it for now. Oh yeah look what I found at my local ABC...

photo54.jpg

This tastes exactly like you would think. It tastes like pure peppers every sip.

Anyways have a great Weekend and Presidents Day. Thanks for Viewing.

Oh heres a few plant pics too.

photo61.jpg

These are the little guys that came out of the bag labeled White Bhut.

photo62.jpg

A close up of one of the White Bhuts. The leaves are starting out yellow and then turning green slowly. As you can see in the pic the tip is greening up as we speak. Why is this?? Does anyone know?

photo64.jpg

Even the vains change too. Its weird... lol But is it bad?? I'm scared. :scared:

photo63.jpg

This ones a nice green color. They are very close to the light and loving it.

photo.jpg

The one on the right is unmarked but I believe it to be some type of Bhut and the one on the left is a bhut from the pack from last year.

Well that is it for now. Thanks for Viewing again guys.
