We leave for Germany in 3 days, where I will be going to Germany, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Poland, Italy, and possibly Finland and Denmark if I can stay past my 5 weeks that I am going to be there.

hell no, chicago laws are worse than pennsylvania, theres no way I would ever open a bar or brewpub in chicago

Alright time for a small update because well I have taken so many freakin pictures and done so much stuff here in Germany I just dont feel like typing all of it

So Day One

headed to the airport as a group, and 9 of us decided to eat a bunch of "brownies" right before we walked into the airport in Chicago, needless to say it was the best 9 hour plane ride ive ever had

We finally got to Germany and headed to our respective hotels/hostels

I dont have a picture of my hotel room, but let me just say its a shitload nicer than my crappy apartment in Chicago

I do have views from the outside though

The last picture here is me and Joel on our second night

The dude you see in the back is from Rotterdam Netherlands

Story to the 2nd night

Joel and I decided to go back to the bar thats right in front of our hotel that we are staying at.

Basically 3 people spoke english, and when I mean english I mean like 1 guy spoke enough, the other one spoke some, and the other one could talk about beer and oktoberfest because from what I gathered he ran security there for a bunch of years

We also met this Italian dude there that spoke neither german or english, and enjoyed, literally, butting heads with people when he cheers and took a shot with them, which we did ohh I dont know probably 10 or so, since they are only 1.50....

Guess how much I pay for my half litre beers at that same bar, 1.50...

Lets put it this way, between the two of us, we racked up a 56 euro tab, and that was just alcohol.

We finally left there at 3:30 or so in the morning basically closing the bar down with people that spoke absolutely no english, yet we had some awesome conversations

Joel missed the first train to school the next morning, and I both of us were still shitfaced drunk until about 1pm

I will tell you about what we did that school day tomorrow

ohh yea

you are gonna hate me a lot more

So i just booked my trip for Easter Vacation here in Europe

Rented a Mercedes E class, no idea which one, wont know till I pick it up, probably an E350 though

Day 1: drive from Munich to Brussels, Belgium, take pictures of peeing statue in the square, stay at swanky belgian hotel

Day 2: Cantillon, Val Dieu, Browerie Verhaeghe for some Dutchess de Bourgogne,
Abbaye De Rocs, and back to Brussels for some Delirium at their bar downtown. Stay at swanky hotel again

Day 3: Westvleteran and St Bernardus, then drive to Rotterdam and then Amsterdam for 420 Cup on Saturday, stay at Sheridon hotel in Amsterdam saturday night.

Day 4: wake up god knows when from my space cake stupor, and drive to Dortmund for some awesome Dortmunder, Dusseldorf for some great Altbier, and then drive to the Nurburgring for a lap or two in the awesome E class, then off to Frankfurt for a stay overnight in a Hilton hotel.

Day 5: Drive back to munich as fast as I can on the Autobahn, return the car, hit the train back to my hotel and sleep for 12 hours before we get on a bus and go to Austria for a tour of breweries all week

Total cost of hotels and car rental: 495 Euro's a person for 2 of us

wheebz having lived there for several years the only thing I'll say is have a blast and enjoy every minute of it. Have a dopple bock for me and when your driving remember while the car might go 200 your not used to driving those speeds. Be careful driving. We lost more soldiers to that than anything else and we all want you to come back and tell us more of your adventures. Also so we can all enjoy kicking your a$$ in future TD's.

Actually I race my Acura in autocross, drag, and road courses, and exceed 130-140mph on a weekly basis at the track, so I am quite used to driving at speeds like that, but yea I have never driven on the autobahn so I am going to take it extremely easy while I am heading to brussels and get more used to it around Nurburgring
