smoking Wheres all the Rabbit Lovers

my male is mixed california/new zland white. my 2 females are new zland reds.....makes nice eating     we eat rabbit once a week here. i like them best smothered in a rice and gravey...makes a great turd

We used to raise New Zealands. Our favorite super simple cooking method was Pork Shake and Bake..Meat would fall of the bone. Grandma used to fry them in bacon grease too. Tougher wild rabbits were put in a pressure cooker sometimes and then fried.
 
I do prefer domestic rabbit to wild.
 
I hunt birds on dairy property here in california and I shoot rabbits any chance i get. They have a very good diet on the dairy and they taste amazing with just some garlic salt and butter in a cast iron skillet. I love it
