SKULLBIKER'S "Whats old is new for 22 glog"

I've put this off long enough and now it's time to start "gloging".
On January 1,2022 I picked the Brainstrains again.

1423 grams this time.

And that means two more 1 1/2 pint jars for the freezer.

And they're still alive and producing.

Great looking specimen SB.

Split view of the Albanian Red Hot. 😉
I ate a slice of about a fourth of it, tasted good and fairly sweet with little heat. I chopped up the rest for an addition to my breakfast eggs.

And, got to save some seed.

Here's four "Orange Jalapeno" from APS seed in a 25 gal. container. I'll see how they do this year.

The Brainstrain plants are finally putting out some new growth after a couple months of looking pretty bleak. Now to see if those two Borg 9 plants can catch up.

Brainstrain trees!!! 😲

Love the look of your rocotos. First time growing rocotos for me this year, but allready turning in a rocotofan.
They have quite some aesthetic looks and growth habit.

Those BrainStrains are ridiculous!

Looks like you were getting ready to
squirt the lizards with some WD-40!

Wish we had a few lizards around.
See a salamander now and then.

I thought the Brainstrain plants were toast when we had a light frost, they had dropped most of the leaves. But yet, they live!
Oh no, no one messes with the lizards...........except the cat when they sneak into the screen porch. Often when I'm working outside there will be a half dozen of them watching me.

It'll be interesting to see how the Brainstrain trees do in year two.
The rocotos naturally have a wide growth habit, and most people let them grow that way. I don't let them grow the way they want, I cage them and run them up the sides of the cage. This takes up much less real estate and doesn't seem to hinder production.

This Equadorian Sweet Rocoto is growing fast. It's getting the cage tomorrow.

I almost stepped on the snake again today 😳, I stepped out the back door and there it was sunning itself on the pavers. After I startled it, it went on to the big dried leaves to finish up.

I got that spindley Brainstrain into the 25 gal container, we'll see if it was worth it after a while.
