Pimenta de Neyde I'm gonna regret planting tomatoes so close to this row. They're getting
revenge for being left in those tiny little pots for so long.

That's all for now, the dew should be burnt off, time to go pick some.

Pimenta de Neyde has white flowers? That's unusual for a purple-leaved plant isn't it?

I see you are using straw mulch in addition to black plastic. Is that for heat and/or moisture control?

Freakin' awesome plants.

Damn SS, thats a lot of pictures, ha ha. It looks like you will have fun trying to walk between the rows soon too. Everything is perfectly nice and green and getting big again. No all I can do is wait for harvest shots. Keep it up.

They are white with a purple streak in the middle of each petal.

The straw was added to cover the landscape fabric which covers the row middles to shield it from the sun and also to some of the plastic mulch while the plants were small to shield them from the heat.

Thanks :)

nice! everything looks like it's ready to start producing soon. some great varieties there Robert!

Thanks Ed, there are some ripe pods here and there that don't show in the picks, gotta get out there and start hunting.

Mine are white with purple stripes down the middle of each petal.

Yup, same here, my cheap camera doesn't show it in those pics though.

I'm gonna regret planting closer this season.

They all look like they're in top shape health-wise

They're starting to kick it out of first gear. Thanks

Skip a day picking this stuff because of rain and.......

A few pods, enough to satisfy a craving for some fresh ones.
A small rocoto in the background almost ripe.

Yeah, he got me wondering so I had to go outside and check. I had never really looked that closely at it, it's pretty cool the way the streak runs longways and looks like a perfect rectangle running down the center.

Man can you grow.

Do you let your tomatoes sprawl?

What are your plans for the squash? My sister and father have zucchini growing. We usually slice it really thin then bread and fry it.

You get a new internet provider SS? Don't think I've ever seen you post that many pics. Glad you did too man your garden belongs in the centerfold of Home and Garden Magazine!

Some day if I grow up, ummm I mean when I grow up, I would like to have a garden just like yours. It is a work of art my friend.
