    Been very busy recently, some life stuff...preparing to a possible move to Alaska later this year. I'm thinking of growing year round in a heated solarium :)

    North Pole area is generally nice. That is where I lived. Avoid anything on or near Cushman. That is where all the druggies live.

    Right now everything up there looks so damn expensive with my current pay, but once I get those 14 days straight checks it's gonna stack up really quickly. I have some other contacts in the Fairbanks area that have said something similar, good to note.

    It is very expensive. Everything is, so be prepared for sticker shock. People say, "Oh, it is because of the shipping" but everything you'll find is going to have a big green/blue label that says, "Alaska Grown". It is beautiful, though. You'll enjoy the 24 hours of daylight in the summer if you can hack the mosquitoes. Hard to beat 65 degrees outside while fishing in the daylight at 3am.

    First seedlings up for 2015 are NuMex Sunrise, Tepin X Lemon Drop, Purple Flash, and Lucy. 100+ total up so far.

    LOL I just use other youtube videos on aquaponics as references and use what I have available to me. I'm probably going to put some lettuces in my sump tank too haha.

    Just watched all 3 vids. Pretty cool, never knew people grew nightshades for fun. Is it for the challenge? Ornamental? Just curious

    I think mostly it's out of curiosity. Some of them are extremely challenging like mandrake and if you find the right market they can be worth a lot of money. Some people collect carnivorous plants and I collect literally dangerous plants...I've gotten a rather large stock of Solanum species built up right now and looking to expand even more.

    Yup it does a good job of getting all the machine juices off my hands, but it strips all the natural oils out as well.

    been freezing here for a good two weeks now, I have a Fatalii in the little cheap greenhouse pumping out pods like crazy! Soon will have to bring it in though

    yeah it's mold for me, I'll have a stuffy nose from now until frost. Spring/summer normally doesn't bother me but sometimes a damp spring will kick it in for a few weeks
