Man conquers "The Widower" and Hallucinates

They use 6 mil extract to make it - but it's def not 6 mil overall. It's the same mistake that you hear all the time in the UK papers that once the hottest ingredient is added the whole dish is at that level. Having said that, 20 superhots plus some extract in one curry is going to be pretty warm!!

    Satans Sh!t

I seriously don't recommend this one unless you are into extreme extract heat, the taste is OK for the first few seconds (quite unusual in fact with prunes and blueberries etc) but the metallic taste then takes over. Both of us were pretty ill after doing this video (Leo being a bit drunk didn't...

    7 Pot Bubblegum

The guy on the video was me, I was sent the peppers from a grower in London, UK. Yes they are a morouga x yellow 7 pot, and they are by no means a stable variety! I have a few growing now, looking forward to seeing what the f2's turn out like. The name was purely made up for fun by the guy who...

    Naga Viper

I blame Guiness for most of the hype - they should never have accepted one off tests as proof of a new record holder in the first place. I had some of my own hybrids tested by Warwick at 1,198,988 SHU when the current record holder was still the Bhut Jolokia, however I didn't see this as proof...

    Naga Viper

No he didn't specify, this was a late season pod that's all I know. All Vipers I have seen so far have been similar- sort of scorpion shaped but without such a pronounced stinger, with a fairly wrinkled (but not bumpy) surface.

    Naga Viper

I actually thought the flavour of the Naga Viper I tried was pretty good, although not as hot as you might expect. Here's a vid of me trying one that Gerald sent me a while back.... :fireball:

Recipes for making sauce from yellow 7 pot pods

+1 I like the flavour of the yellow 7 pot too so wouldn't be adding much else to it apart from similar flavours such as pineapple. When I freeze my pods I usually chop them up first into portions that can be taken out and used whenever needed! Then you don't notice the loss of texture so much...

My channel is paulmtonkin (not very original, I know!). I too post at least one video a week testing pods and sauces and the occassional plant growing video :)

    Variety unknown

Looks like a Jamaican Hot Red to me, although haven't seen any with such a long tail on before!

    What did I just eat?

Are both photos of the same pod at different stages? Red one looks just like my scorpion morouga, but mine certainly don't turn yellow first!

    Naga Viper

I was sent a Naga Viper recently from Gerald, I have to say I found it to be very tasty however it did not blow me away with heat at all. I think that the 1.3 million SHU test was quite a lucky one, I estimate that this pod was in the region of 800,000 - 1 mil SHU max. My douglahs, red 7's and...

    hot-sauce YELLOW 7 SAUCES

Yep, Yellow 7 Turkey slap is my favourite too, however I have a close second place - 'lucky 7' by the Cambridge Chilli Farm, UK. It's a very sweet yellow 7 based sauce :)

    Hot Lemon Question

I'm growing a few Aji Lemons and they look exactly the same as in your photo. They tend to start growing upright (but not all do), and then droop down as the pods get heavier. They are delicious when ripe - you wont be disappointed! :woohoo:

powder-flake Got some Powders from Pepperlover

Just received some of Judy's Trinidad Volcano powder yesterday after trying to wait patiently for the UK postal service to deliver it! I had some with dinner last night and have to say it was well worth the wait!! Just need to find an empty spice shaker to put it in now, so I can take it with me...
