    New Years Eve is gonna be epic this year. I have a huge SAKE and some kick ass home made SPICED RUM, SUGAR SHINE, & PEPPERMINT SHINE. Gonna stay home and get twisted. For a guy that really doesn't drink all that much I'll probably make it till around 9:00pm. ROFL

    Why wasn't he hot and untouchable? This was the son of GOD. Why did he seem so weak and fragile? He could have come to earth with grandiose fan fair, yet he had chosen this tiny stable. She lifted him and placed his nearly baldhead up to her nose. Wow, he even smelled like a normal little boy child.     Dang it!!!! Second weekend in a row I've f**ked up my sourdough bread. I'm thinking patience is my issue. My Paul Holywood book says first proof 5 hours, secound proof 4-8 hours. I did 5 and 3 1/2. Dense inside. I can make other breads, but this bitch is kickin my ass. AARRGGHH

    Carved ham off the bone. Ham bone now in crockpot with onion, carrots and dried peas. Sour dough proofing. White chocolate, almond, cranberry cookies in the oven.

    Put up eight quarts of pickles, dehydrator full of peppers, and sour dough bread proofing. Now to make some cookies.

    Finally got my hands on some sourdough starter. Just feed the starter. Gonna make sourdough bread tommarow. Wife is drooling.

    Everything has now come together. Chocolate chip coconut cookies big as your hand, two golden French bread loaves, and steller chili. Hell might have to end the day with wine and a bubble bath. I feel that relaxed from cooking all day. THEREPUTIC

    God I love a four day weekend. Cooking my butt off. Turkey in the oven (have friends coming tomarrow for a re-do of the feast) . Neck,onions,garlic, salt,pepper, in crock pot. Canning jalapeno jam. Soft pretzels on the horizon. Cooking cookies like a mad man. Doing another turkey tomarrow (with all the fixins). COOKING LIKE THIS IS FUN AND THERAPUTIC!!!!!

    What a wonderful day! Made an olive bread this morning. I was able to have a huge ribeye steak for dinner. I just whipped up a nice batch of coconut chocolate chip cookies and now I'm gonna make some fudge. FOOD IS FUN TO MAKE AND EAT!!!!!

    My son is competeing in marching band competition in Napa today. Darn, I have to go to Napa. Shucks, darn, rats.

    The color guard took first place in the parade compitition. The competition for the band itself was steep in their division. They did not place. They sure had fun though. Theyhave the final competition of the year in Fairfield, Ca. Next Saturday. The rest of the year switches to consert competitions. That's when we really get to hear some great music. COOL
