    Burning leaves

Put the plant in a more shaded area as it looks like the sun burnt it rather than the temperature.

    Coffee & Chilis

I have a Keurig single serving brewer and those reusable filters which I used to brew up coffee with about 1/2 to 1 tsp of dried pepper spice, it is quite good. The hotter the coffee's temperature the more intense the kick.

    is this TMV?

Here is a link that may help, it is from the Plant Path department at Penn State.

    Adding Compost

I get mine at a local farm and fleet (Blaines), of course this type of store is pretty typical here in the midwest and may not be out there in Boise.

S 510 Would Make it Illegal to Grow Your Own Food

I think this is more about a group of individuals who do not trust that the federal government will pass laws that are in the best interest of its people. Rather it seems that the federal government is hell-bent on doing everything it can to make multinational corporations richer and richer...

Am I reading this right - Scotts in bed with Monsanto

To sum it up, at least in the US, we live in a Corpratocracy where money, which the big corps have a lot of, buys off the politicians who then reward with legal monopolies and favorable laws. Subsidies for the megafarmer here causes complacentcy in agronomic methods where excessive...

Doesn't seem like enough when you think about the wind blowing all that pollen around. Right on the money Novacastrian.

    Adding Compost

Sounds good, I would also add about 7-14 ton/acre of Calcitic limestone having a CCE (Calcium carbonate eqivalent) of about 95% and less than 5% MgCO3; the Ca2+ ions will react with both the organic matter and the clay in your native soil leaving a very conditioned soil that supplies an abundant...

    Red Savina

From this string just a couple things to clarify, one is that PVP is not a patent, nor is it a trademark. It is a form of intellectual property which covers (as mentioned above) sexually propagated plants that are new and distinct. So the mutation, natural or otherwise would not preclude the...

    Pepper Identification

I agree with Binchnunker, but will add that the first batch of pods I got from an over wintered but were smooth, small and fleshy, flavor and aroma being unchanged. The second batch were normal in appearance except were somewhat smaller.

Nearly all my plants are getting distorted leaves

Absolutely true, guessing from your mix below you might be on the acid side as peat moss and worm castings will drive the pH down and since you used pelletized lime (slow to get dissolved and reacted with the soil clay) it may have not had a chance to react with the vermiculite. So if you are...

Nearly all my plants are getting distorted leaves

Patrick, My affected plants also had a darker green, almost purplish, coloring to them which initially led me to believe they were suffering from a P deficiency so I treated them with some fert to no avail. One thought would be regarding your situation is, do you have the same cultivars...

Nearly all my plants are getting distorted leaves

Patrick, Respectfully, I disagree with you as both Mg and S (Epsom salt being MgSO4) deficiencies will be evident by chlorosis (yellowing of the leaves), the leaves in the photos are not chlorotic. The only mineral deficiency whose symptoms are similar is Zn and possibly Cu. Zn and Cu are...

Nearly all my plants are getting distorted leaves

I agree with Indiana_Jesse, I had the same problem earlier this summer and posted a few pics on this forum, the cause (although not chemically verified through tissue analysis) was auxinic herbicide damage; I sent pictures to Professor Dean Riechers at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign...
