    Was a bit chilly this morning. Today even. But for the most part, the temp has been in the mid 70's all week. The babies are under the MH/HPS today. No frost in the area, so a win for the grape and hop vines!

    Oh yeah. I'll have those extra seedlings for you soon. Im leaving for AZ Friday, but I'll have them ready for set out around the 14th, for you!
    So ready for March and April to be here so I can get my hands into some soil!

    Yeehaw! Mornin folks! Its brew day again here at McGuinea Brewery! Todays batch is our first attempt on our "Craker in the Rye". The name says it all. Heres to easy brewing and hopes that the mash doesnt get stuck with all this Rye! :)

    Mash went perfect! OG was great. Had to go with a blow off tube on this one because the fermentation is so violent! :)
    imperial ipa rematch was a success! should hit 15«v on this bad boy! :)

    Ok, recipe needs to be posted. I need a new brew to do and have been trying to decide between an IIPA and an Imperial Chocolate Stout.

    10lbs marris otter, 4lbs crystal, 3lbs ashbyrne mild, 2lbs carafoam, 1 lb prayed, then summit and Chinook hops ... Yep that's 20lbs of grain :) mashed low 150s ... Boil was 120 min :) OG was 1.087

    Hey man! You can always grow more plants! When weather like that comes through its all about the family safety. Hell, if the plants make it through that stuff they always look happier after the N boost, lol.

    It got dark, then the ebs kicked on the radio, tv, and phone all at the same time! Warning to get inside and that this was gonna be bad. Had lots of wind, and rain but no hail! Thank god.
