    GhostPepperStore's *Not* Growlog 2013

Related question:  How do you isolate your plants to prevent crossing?   Oh and that is a nasty Cayennish bhut.  Very cool.

A Pepperhead glog: Pickling, Saucing, and Powdering

I saw something like that on the burpee site.  I thought about buying some never did.  Maybe I'll reconsider.   Hmm.  Just looked at the Blossom Spray site.  Says it would produce "almost seedless" tomatoes.  Not sure I want "almost seedless" peppers.

A Pepperhead glog: Pickling, Saucing, and Powdering

My regular 7 Pots have somehow conspired with my Brain Strain and they both refuse to set pods.  No matter how much I stare at them or will them to convert from buds to pods, it just isn't happenning.  Is there some way to convince my plants that setting pods is in their own reproductive...

    Superhot Future

If a group of us decided on a standard, not an authority, but a guideline to follow, then there are those who would follow it and could say "I've been growing my Peppers to the "THP standard"(or whatever).  Then people could look at that, read the standard and decide for themselves if it was...

    Superhot Future

As hobbyists we will all never agree on a system for naming peppers.  Unless you have some authoritative organization that sets up rules and such (and who is going to do that for free?) there will always be people who will get into the hobby with different goals than the next person.  If I cross...

Thinking about doing a farmers market stand

Let me know what you find out.  I can tell you at my tiny yard sale/ farm stand Tomatoes sold great but superhots were avoided like the plague.  People were interested in jalapenos, though (although I didn't have any).  I bet for superhots Craig's list will be a better option unless you can get...

    Importing Chilli seeds into Australia

I've always wanted to go to Australia.  If everyone chips in, I can fly my family out there and I'll make them all swallow balloons full of chili seeds to distribute upon arrival.  Of course the chili cartel will want their cut... :shh:

Okay, so what makes it "unstable"?  I have two of these plants producing pods right now.  Both are producing different shaped (habby and stingery).  I have two Bhuts right now producing pods.  I'm getting 3 distinct shapes (Bhutty, carrot-like and pumpkin-stinger).  My Bhut seeds come from a...

    capsaicin Capsaicin and Aspartame

I can not stand aspartame.  You realize it breaks down into formaldahied in your system?  It was an industrial chemical that some guy tasted and thought  would make a good sweetener. Blech.   Okay, most of that was internet hoax, but it's still nasty.   Okay, off my soapbox now.   I like spicy...

    greenhouse Purchasing a greenhouse

2.25-ft L x 1.58-ft W x 5.33-ft H Metal Greenhouse.  If you get this one, when you put it together tie down the metal shelving to the crossbars.  They don't sit very securely on them.  Other than that it comes apart and goes together easily, stores easily, maybe not worth $40 materially, but if...

    seeds seedlings

I cut holes in the bottom corners to let water out.  Plants do fine, like with terra cotta pots.  It's only temporary, anyway.

    Bubblegum 7 Pot pepper test

Dude, I got hiccups like that from a half a kung pao last year.  I think being my first year, I have to pick one superhot to try.  I'm growing two of these plants this year, and all the pods I've seen on here look awesome.   Great review!

    greenhouse Purchasing a greenhouse

I have a small rolling one I got at Lowe's for I think $40., maybe less.  It was good for getting the plants out of the house and hardening them up.  If you aren't moving them great distances I'd say it was worth the price I paid.

    When to pick ghost peppers

I have bhuts that are sort of oval shaped, carrot shaped and pumpkinny with a stinger.  I chalk it up to unstable hybrid. :P
