How many plants can you manage?

Here in South Hell Arizona, watering the damn things is a non-trivial undertaking.  I don't have a fenced yard, so much grow in tabletop containers, lest the javelina devour my plants. This means that each large plant needs watering every day.  The smaller ones can usually go two days.  With...

    pests Bug I'd please

I'm fortunate to have a solid population of aphid hunting parasitic wasps that return every year just as the monsters' population starts to explode in the spring.  They never do wipe out all the buggers, but do keep the Green Hordes in check, to the point that they are essentially harmless to...

    Stetto's First Winter Grow ('16-'17)

Yea, take it easy with the PH adjustments. You've already nuked your plants once this year... ;)   As for nutes, I can send you a box of Tucson's Finest Grade A Bat Poop.  Lightning in a bottle!  It will give your plants a serious case of Bat Crap Fever.  :metal:   Post some more pics if you get...

contest Growdown Throwdown 2017 Aji Lemon Drop!

It depends on the plant and growing conditions.  Most of my guys do fine into the low 100s, so long as they have shade when nuclear fireball is directly overhead.  Most of my baccatum have a gazillion pods of assorted sizes, and plenty of flowers too.  It's 108 today, headed for ~114. Here's...

    Is this normal for MOAs?

Agree with ^^^ Chinense are / can be a little more finicky than the assorted annuum and baccatum I've grown.  So long as it has good color and is growing well, just leave the cranky thing alone!  ;)

I fell in love with Angelo

Angelo are wonderfully prolific, and mine didn't get as bushy as my other baccatum. They are fine peppers, but IMO the flavor it not all that unique - a typical bacca "WTF is that?  It's tasty!", combined with the typical moderate bacca heat that Goldilocks would likely choose.  ;)

pests bugs good or bad? new pic post 10

YES!  Do not spray or otherwise molest the bugs until you are sure there are no wasps present.  If there are wasps, they will very quickly eradicate 98% of the aphids.

Can I get a toast for the season that ended before it began?

I'll bet 80% of your plants survive just fine.  And with a well established root system, they will grow back faster than you might think.

What to do with dry peppers?

Once you start using dried ground pepper as a spice, you'll find yourself using it dang near everywhere.  Just about anything that tastes better with black pepper will also benefit from pepper flakes.

Good for a 79% eclipse.  Not too shabby.   But here's hoping you can scare up some wheels, catch a carpool (there must be a local astro club), or ... steal a horse!   ;)

So...  Who's taking an Eclipse Vacation this year?   I'm tentatively planning to camp + hike Wyoming's Wind River Mountains for three or four days centered on Aug 21.   If it looks like clouds will develop over the mountains, I'll try to scoot east to the plains.
