Do you have more than one plant? Most nightshades tend to have more productive bloom phases when they have their leaves touching another plant of the same species.
Do you have a fan going for your plant? Fans help stimulate the plant so it's releasing pollen. Flowers are reactive to...
Look like chocolate 7s to me. Chocolate is often a genetic variation of red anyways, it's possible that the vendor sent the wrong seeds (or you got a cross with something) but it's also possible that you got lucky and have a mutant.
Hey everyone! I'm going to see about getting these out tomorrow. I already have them packed up and ready to roll I just have to make it to the post office when I can...it's been snowing for like 24 hours straight and we're supposed to get freezing rain in the morning for a few hours. At the...
efficiency should also include bulb replacement costs...I've run T5HO bulbs daily for 1.5 years without having to replace them. 12 bucks for a four foot replacement bulb. Can't beat that. 6500 lumens per bulb.
These aren't seeds from the Mortalii plant, but the seed for the mother plant came from the same seed stock as the Mortalii mother. Since people are asking, the Mortalii is likely a mutant (rather than an unstable cross) that grew pods that were shaped like Morugas. Some members are growing...
Welcome to THP! :mouthonfire:
I always recommend T5HO lighting because it's the most economical as far as ballast price and bulb life/replacement costs. They are much much less of a fire hazard than other ballasts as well. The downside is that although they put off enough heat for a few...
I'm giving away seeds to the first ten people who want them. No SASBE needed, just post in this thread and send me a PM with your address and I'll get them out this week. The only thing I ask in return is for you to pay it forward, when you grow a plant and get fruits to share the seeds. Due...
Using florescent I'd only recommend T5HO bulbs. Color doesn't matter with peppers as much, the high output bulbs can maintain decent enough heat for adult plants (a few of them at least). Normally t5HO bulbs are 6500k
I was here in June for vacation, it certainly does have around 22-23 hours of daylight and the other 2 hours are twilight, it never truly gets dark until August. Connecticut is a very big difference from Alaska.
Problem: cooler temps and midnight sun during summer
I'll be doing tests next season with C. pubescens to see if they tend to produce a little better than the other species that I've seen up here. It seems that the first season plants of C. chinense and C. baccatum have some trouble with...
I moved from Virginia to Alaska in August and have been settling in with my job and new home. Working five 10s and trying to get my vehicles worked on have consumed a lot of my time but the ice and snow is setting in pretty good right now and I'll be spending a lot more time in front of my...
