What night temp kills a pepper plant

So, would it be safe to assume that plants started in January would be safe inside of the garage which gets around to 40 degrees at night would be alright?  There would be no frost, just cooler in the evenings.  Plants in question start at 12" and go to about 18" tall, if this makes a difference.

hybrid My own Cross, F2 Seeds up for Grabs

Looking cool.  I like your sunward facing pod comment as this my first year growing Cherry Hot and the 2 pods indoors are pointed at the sun outside.  And I thought it was just me.

    Topping Sweet Peppers?

Sorry, I do not have pics available, but due to my stupidity of starting seeds in early January, I did have to top most of my plants, but 90% of my sweet peppers had to be topped.  They do appear to be surviving well.  I have a few peppers on them as I type too, so I do not see any ill effects.

Reaper And 7 Pot Jonah Plants Not Growing

Oh, I can almost guarantee that they are now rootbound after 9 months.  I will be potting them up as soon as I can get all my peppers into my garage as I have ZERO space left available inside, not even for 1 more peat pellet.  If they are still alive this long, they can for sure stay just one...

Reaper And 7 Pot Jonah Plants Not Growing

Ok.  I do not know what the hell is going on here, but I have 2 very weird plants here.  From the start.  Last June I planted a couple of Reaper and 7 Pot Jonah seeds just for fun and to test viability.  So they started and I put them into cups relatively early in their lives.  I later put the...

Oops, I Think I Did It This Time

Well, the major offenders got some haircuts the other night and are doing well.  Now I am just hoping for warmer weather to get them out to the garage so start hardening off.

seeds Best place to get seeds?

I am just a bit late to this party but seen all the recommendations for Peperlover already, so you do not need my input. You will not be disappointed. Judy is the only vendor I have had experience with.

Oops, I Think I Did It This Time

Ok. Now please refer to picture 2 or 3, left side of the photo. The plants are rather tall before any true leaves. Where would i best cut these things, I mean trim them? Thank you again. Sorry for the post, but it is late here and I will take a better picture tomorrow afternoon of one of the...

Oops, I Think I Did It This Time

Well, this is year number two for me growing this year, and I think I did it this time.  As I am in southern Manitoba and we had a crappy winter last year, very long and cold, followed by a crappy start to the season, very wet and rainy.  Then it went to a very hot and dry summer.  The gist of...

seeds New guy with a question on seedlings

Don't sweat it.  I have been growing in a south facing window here in Manitoba since January with no added heat or lights.  You will be just fine there in BC.  Your plants will be fine.

What am I getting myself into????

Nope, not nuts.  I am a second year grower and have about the same as you going now.  My problem though is that I started the first week of January, and now I got me a bunch of plants about to or are already touching the racks above them in the greenhouse.  I will not even be able to put them...
