    What??? Is this for real?

"...when handling these fruits latex gloves will melt." That line says it all. You'll probably receive Caribbean Red seed... :)

    Tiger Teeth - Tiger's Tooth...

I've no idea where the grower (United Plant Growers - Vista, CA) got the seed, but here's a picture of the "Cranberry" plant: Can anyone ID it? The leaves are somewhat long & narrow, and blossom petals open so far, they turn around backwards. The plant doesn't look like most other peppers...

    Tiger Teeth - Tiger's Tooth...

Sego, in North Hollywood, CA. They had LOTS of the Tiger Tooth, Fatalli, Yellow Trinidad (?), "Trinidad Pot Pod" - I'm guessing it's 7 Pot, Scorpion "Extreme" - as it's labeled, Orange Habanero, Devil's Tongue, Chocolate Naga, and Bhut, along with the more common varieties. I just got something...

    Tiger Teeth - Tiger's Tooth...

I picked up a few Tiger Tooth plants and have them stuck in a couple different yard spots, and one in a pot... I guess I'll find out what they're like in a couple or three months.

    Tiger Teeth - Tiger's Tooth...

All I've seen about 'em so far, is: "A very hot Habanero elongated type from Guyana growing 2 to 3 inches long by 0.75 to 1 inches wide with medium thick flesh that matures from green to orange to red. (Capsicum chinense)", and this is a picture: It doesn't tell me how hot, or indicate what...

    Tiger Teeth - Tiger's Tooth...

Hey again, folks. Can anyone tell me something about Tiger's Tooth or Tiger Teeth peppers? I'm not finding much info on 'em, but the local nursery says they're "very hot"...not much help there. What do they look and taste like, and how hot are they as compared to...(?) :) Thanks, Duane

I bought a Black Czech plant.

I think it's the same as "Hungarian Black"...(?) Sounds like the same pepper, anyway. I've got three in the ground right now (Hungarians), one overwintered. Also have a bunch of new seedlings from the overwintered plant. I really like these peppers. They're sweeter than Jalapeno, with similar...

flavor Tastiest of these hot peppers...?

They're marked $4 each, but since I've been going there for a few years, they gave me a substantial discount..;)

flavor Tastiest of these hot peppers...?

Thanks! That one gave me loads of great peppers last year, and I'm hoping it does well again this summer. I need to do a little weeding and add some compost, and all should pick right up. I'm still trying to figure out where to put these new plants... I went back for a few more yesterday, and...

flavor Tastiest of these hot peppers...?

Already had a couple Fatalli overwintered from last year, and a couple more young ones I found at another local nursery (Green Arrow).. Fatalli has been showing up at the better nurseries since last year. My biggest Fatalli has about 300 blossoms soon to open, with a few open already. I agree on...

flavor Tastiest of these hot peppers...?

Thanks; I thought so, too. I'll probably go back for more, when I make some room for them... After I get these used to the sun, I'll stick 'em in the garden. If anyone in the San Fernando Valley area is looking for some of these (Devil's Tongue, Scorpion, Chocolate Naga, Tiger Teeth, 7 Pot)...

flavor Tastiest of these hot peppers...?

Hey there folks, I just picked up the above peppers at a local nursery, and wondering which may have the best flavor (sweetest before the flames, most fruity..), and also about growing conditions for them. Do they like full, strong, hot sun, or partialy shaded, less intense sun..? These all came...

    chinense Review: Bhut Jolokia

George, how well do the pods dry? I may try that too. I only ate 1/4 of the pepper, and probably the mildest part. Pretty intense pain on the tongue and throat. Reminded me of the worst sore throat I ever had, along with sweating and tearing eyes. My wife and daughter were laughing. Wasatch...

    chinense Review: Bhut Jolokia

Not to hijack the thread, but my first Bhut ripened two days ago, and I picked it today. I managed to eat 1/4 of this pepper from hell. Amazing is about all I can say. :mouthonfire:

    YAUPT

Looks like a large, unripe Habanero to me. See what color they ripen to, and you'll get a better idea. The Serranos I've seen will turn red when ripe. I think they're pretty good that way. :)

    a few of my plants

My first bhut: This thing is already looking scary. :mouthonfire: Funny thing is, this is on my smallest bhut plant (have 3 more), and in the smallest pot. looks like the happiest plant, though.

    Is this a fatalii...?

And my first ripening fatali: (got impatient, and want to try it...)

    a few of my plants

Went out this afternoon to say hi to my plants, and found something sad had happened to my chocolate hab. One of the dogs or my kids had broken a well-endowed branch off, which held 10 unripe pods. :( I started eating the smaller ones first; they were a bit bigger than my thumbnail, and had...
