How many of you like your Coffee BLACK???

Nah. My parents drank lots of coffee when I grew up and would give it to us occasionally as a treat mixed heavily with cream and sugar - so I learned to like the taste when I was younger. Then there was college - I moved on to the direct IV injection of espresso method... I think your...

How many of you like your Coffee BLACK???

I had never thought about it before but recently stumbled onto a thread on another site for people claiming to like "spicy" foods. It was suggested that there may be a link between liking spicy foods and liking black coffee. There also seemed to be some support for a link between affinity for...

    New Content Link Direction

One thing I love about how this forum operates is how the search feature works. I will explain with a hypothetical. If I search the forums for "7 pot," a list populates with thread names that contain 7 pot references. If I click on the thread title, i will automatically be directed to the...

    Redtail Forester's Holy Alimony

Is this one hotter than the Grounds for Divorce XXX? I absolutely love the flavor of that one but wish it had more heat. I think Redtail makes it mild on purpose so you will end up emptying the entire bottle onto the first thing you try it on  Holy Alimony and GFD XXX are both listed as...

What Am I Doing To Myself?

I'll be the 6th to agree :P Its easy to carry superhot powder along. I have a small baggie in the glove compartment of my car and carry one in my briefcase. That pretty much covers me for most meals when I'm on the go. Plus, if a Thai chef sees you bringing in your own stuff to heat up his...

    Making powders---recommended mask set up

I remember DEFCON Creator posted a picture of himself wearing like a WW2 style gas mask while grinding habaneros. I couldn't find the post unfortunately.

How do you spice up your instant raman noodles

I eat way too much ramen, so I have several favorite tweaks - but I leave in the original spice packet for all of them. Chicken Flavor Ramen: (always add in leftover chicken if there is any in the fridge) One: add about 1/4 teaspoon of peanut butter per packet, fish sauce to taste, and of...

food Chocolate chip cookies with pepper?

Depending on your area you may be able to find habanero powder at the grocery store. The hotter the pepper used the less you have to use to add some heat. I have never done spicy cookies but I have used powder to give other baked goods a kick. I had to add lots more 7 pot powder than I expected...

The Original Pepper Infused Hot Salt!

I've been using the original hot salt for about a year and I feel like I should pipe up and let you know I love it. French fries and popcorn are my favorite uses. I should just use it in place of all my salt really. Anyways, I just received a powder delivery from Kevin and he gave me a freebie...

    Hot pepper infused sea salt..

Without giving away the secrets to your delicious hot salt, can you explain how you get pepper flavors and heat into your salts without the flesh? I would love to make a piri-piri salt for my grandpa who brought me back piri-piri seeds all the way from Portugal. His favorite pepper.

    Sriracha with Thai Peppers

Great recipe! This really does have a sriracha type flavor and a great kick. I just tried out this recipe as well with a few tweaks (mixed in some superhots, used about 9 cloves of roasted garlic rather than powder, and mixed a little honey in with the agave nectar). It came out very good and I...

Barbeque Sauce made with fresh or frozen pods

I have a barbeque loving friend who is going through some rough times right now. He has an enormous pequin plant that he lets me ravage fairly regularly. I want to make him up a batch of spicy barbeque sauce to help lift his spirits - and I would love to be able to use some of his or my own...

    ID pepper from blossoms?

That is NOT a pepper. That looks like a Datura plant to me. Otherwise known as moonflower, and some other stuff. Theres lots of varieties. It is highly toxic so keep away from kids and animals!!! Also if you rip it out I'd use gloves just to be safe, and don't toss it into your fireplace :P...
