    Both plants are Inca Red Drop. Both from seed. Both the same height when transplanted. Plant on the left is in Pro-Mix. Plant on the right is in Miracle Grow Potting Soil.     Exact same issues with mine this year. EARWIGS! Kill em all and fast, they caused a small disease outbreak with a few of my plants, thank goodness they only killed three before I found them.

    Im no expert but I believe that lack of calcium in the soil is the main cause of BER. I would guess that a complete fertilizer would help, as a lot of forms of calcium have to break down in the soil to be used by a plant.     Is there more than one type of goat's weed? Mine have the same pod shape,size,color,etc but my plant is very hairy. Yours seems hairless.
