+1 You get to decide how you want the whole thing to go down. An easy way is to request the receiver send an SASBE per this thread. You can put a link to the SASBE thread in your initial offer. If you are worried about not receiving correct postage say, "affix $1.95 postage."

I wish I had photos, didn't have a camera with me. I got red and yellow Manzanos and a Padron. The Bhuts were very healthy looking, and big! I am tempted to go back and get one myself.
Guys, I was at Sunset Nursery today and they are selling 12" Bhuts for $2. They also had some Trinidad peppers and red and yellow Manzanos. Worth a visit for those who got a late start this year. Address here:

Slam!
Welcome Greenhouse, I encourage you to get into the seed business.
As the season progresses, more folks will be offering seeds for SASBE in this forum. Get in the habit of checking daily for offers.
Also, here are a few sellers you might want to check out (and emulate)...
Went by Grow Wurks today to pick up some coir. Scott has a soil test going on in the back; comparing Ocean Forrest, Dr. Earth, and some ritzy soil with a two letter name that I had never heard of. Interested to see the results.
They gave me some Butch T and Naga Morich seeds from some given to...
I hear that! I spent 6 months digging holes and burying material. Stretching out the job was the only way my back could handle it.
Also: I'm lazy!
I've been researching Kellogg's a bit. I only use their N'Rich and Patio Plus because they are the only soils of theirs that are OMRI certified...
I use something similar: John & Bob's Soil Activator, which is screened leonardite. I use it in my native soil, but not in potting soil. It was expensive, and I still question whether homemade compost gets the same result.
I wish I hadn't seen this thread. Now I'm convinced I need to get my hands on some Alabama Jumpers; thanks a lot Melissa! :P
I've been burying red worms with newspaper and coffee grounds around my garden, but these Alabama Jumpers might be a better ticket for clay. I'm interested to see how...
Mike, I like where you are going with this. You've put in a lot of work all ready. As long as you've gone this far, here's what I would do:
Dig that trench even deeper (at least another 12")
Throw a bunch of organic matter in the trench
-Alfalfa (from a feed store)
-shredded newspaper
-leaves...
I use Patio Plus as well and love it. It probably would be fine right out of the bag, but I add rice hulls for drainage and oyster shells and rock dust, because I like to go overboard.
Edit: Is this a good place to talk about my crush on Kathy Kellogg Johnson?
PM me your address; I'll send you some Bhut Jolokia seeds.
Also, pop in on the Seed/Pepper trading forum a few times a day. Members will routinely offer free seeds there. Cheers.
Nice work. I'm new to growing peppers from seed too, and found a heat mat invaluable. Then I got this thermostat and the process became foolproof. But I've also started seeds outside in warm weather. As long as you're having fun, you're doing it right!
One tip from one new pepper grower to...
