    potato plant

Cool. Couple of notes - Supermarket vegies may be treated with anti growth hormones and; certified seed potatoes are disease free, the supermarket one may not be. Remember Ireland?

How did you pick your username?

It was the number of my first bank account which my parents created when I was very young. It was a bit of a moment for me as I was thrust into 'the system' where names where irrelevant apparently. Now I use numbers everywhere as a bit of a piss take of how unsocial society is these days.

    Problem ID

NFI. The DPI down there doesn't seem to say much about it either - http://new.dpi.vic.gov.au/agriculture/horticulture/vegetables/vegetables-a-z/capsicum-peppers-chillies I did find their heat rating somewhat amusing tho, which is why I posted the link.

Best way to remove rust from cast iron cookware?

I do electrolysis all the time, works very very well. Since it's cast, you don't need to worry hydrogen embrittlement. You can put it in a bucket of molasses and it will strip rust right off. If you want something quicker, good old rust converter will have in done in a couple of mins.

Worm and insect juice secret to record ButchT?

Yeah, I noticed that article made it to slashdot as well. Not sure why, it's not that it's overly inaccurate, they're just very loose explanations for everything in the article.

    Miracle fruit

That's exactly what I do with my clones to reduce transpiration loss. Doesn't seem to affect the strike rate but they establish quicker. Might work for you, might also cause mould problems. Here in SEQ, there's no problems growing them.

I am totally sick of wanker animals destroying my garden. Now a section that has been completely fenced off because of bush turkeys has been ripped up EVERY DAY. Something has a fetish for digging up galangal because I'm finding it everywhere. WTF am I supposed to do now? I fix one pest...

    korean ginseng

Yeah, I was interested in growing some but the 6 year wait until harvest didn't make me wet. Now that I think about, if I did plant some out, it would be harvest time.
