IIIRC this Chilligrower.com was started by the McDermotts of Buckeye Pepper Co. Some fine folks with lots of peppers and even more children! It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't have time to manage another website.
Wayne, if you have any need for hot pepper powders and/or sauces I have plenty of both that I make. Dried pods, too and fresh pods in 3 to 4 weeks.
You can send me a personal message here on The Hot Pepper if you have interest.
The label looks like its from a nursery.
No chain of custody in this case.
LOL I sold some extra plants at my yard sale in April but no reapers.
I've not seen any greenhouses around Statesville selling super hots.
Also your flowers are probably dropping because of the heat wave here - 15 days of 95F in a row.
Now that it's slightly cooler more pods should form. I have big reaper plants with only 2 or 3 pods where there should be 25 to 30.
As a home bootlegger of salsa and hot sauce this is great info to have.
I get people telling me all the time I should go commercial.
It ain't all that easy!
Thanks for sharing.
Not sunburn. Sunburn turns the edges of leaves light brown or white.
It looks more like bacterial leaf spot or another similar disease.
Are these plants indoors?
Oooooooh looks interesting.
Key ingredient -
Chadon Beni (Culantro)
Not going to be easy to find. I may have to substitute cilantro.
This one from the same site looks intense: http://www.simplytrinicooking.com/2009/10/lime-pepper-sauce.html
Thanks for the tips.
I did a second batch after reading through ( yes, all the way through) this topic and decided to leave out the fish emulsion due to comments about it supressing foam formation.
After 30 hours:
My results support the fish goop hypothesis.
I did a thorough spraying of all plants...
