Skim the yeast and taste it. Does it taste good? Kahm yeast isn't ideal, but isn't bad for you.

Never had any problems. Also, nit a tremendous need to thaw if you are using superhots. A simple rinse and the blender usually thaws them out. I still usually take them out the nught before using.

I use white wine or champagne vinegar. I find the lower acidity lets the pepper flavor dominate.

My season is ending and my two bhuts have an enormous bumper crop I dont know I will have enough warmth to ripen outdoors. My wife is killing me tojust pull the plug... but I cant. What is the best and cheapest alternative to try to finish ripening already set pods indoors??

A week after and about 10 ripe pods and new growth is coming in pretty fast.

My reaper grows a few pods looking somewhat like this next to the tradtional tailed cherry blisters. Could be a reaper I think.

Not angry in the least AJ. They are pretty and big as my hand. Moving them out of rain I lost a green reaper and it was still pretty hot. The few Scorpions I've harvested were some of the hottest peppers I've eaten. 100% satisfied with this first year of growing.

So they CAN be bhuts and not finger-y? A guy at work gave me pods and said they were ghosts but they looked like 7 pots or red habanero. But they were HOT!

Oh it's a beautiful plant... I'm not mad. I just wanted to know whether I could pick em  :)

Assuming this isn't growing true? Or does it go red to brown eventually? Got from a very reputable seller.

First time grower so bear with me. My plants all look really healthy and have 50+ pods on them, 2-3 feet growth and many new top leaves, flowers and fruit forming. But almost all have self pruned and are pretty barren on the lower 1/3 of the plants. Its been weird weather here, 80-90 degree...

I have a hab plant growing very ghostie habs. Tasted a young pod. No heat but a hab flavor. Every pod is long skinny and has a sharp tail though?

I have had issues with misplaced tags this year (my own doing.)  This "habanero" just started podding up and they are all very thin and long... nothing like my other habs.  Look more like my Bhuts. Anyone have any ideas.  

Pennsylvaia is weird. Its 78-85 now and everything loks good. Lots of new pods. Green growth has slowed down and flowering increased. Looking good for most plants. Had a few stunted but they are cool bonchis with 10 or so hanging friuts and gnarly exposed roots so I love them.
