    3 Cotyledons!! Wow !!

So my mom's chilis (grown from my seeds) had a bunch of seed caps, but they fell off on their own) and I see today one of her plants has 3 cotyledon leaves!! This is a non-hybrid Thai chili plant. Will plants grown from the seeds of this plant have a higher chance of following in its mother's...

seeds New guy with a question on seedlings

Yeah you're perfect right now. Just leave them be, water when needed, and feed when needed. And no, if the seeds take 1-2 weeks to germinate, then go ahead start a new batch. But if it's one of those finicky 20 day germination ones, I'd be careful if it gets cold earlier for you. (September)

seeds Cutting off the weaker seedlings / Removing from Humidity Dome too soon

Wow. That care and determination, I feel like the odd man out. I just germinate the seeds, put them in some soil leave it by the brightest window if it's too cold, or if it's warm, just let them sprout outside. And bam, leaves come out everything's all fine.

    Starting Year #2!! Much excitement!!

Ahh I remember about a year ago when I began my first grow, it was 5 Thai chili plants, which are doing quite dandy indoors and with no fertilizer. This year, I'm starting 2 Super Chili plants and one just sprouted a root, the seeds courtesy of @Phil (I believe). Hope this year goes well!

My first chili is red. Do I take it off

As someone of the south Asian ethnic group this should go well. Probably is, their parent pods were brought from Bangladesh so I don't know if it is a rural cultivar or the common green Thai chili.

My first chili is red. Do I take it off

My first chili is red should I take it off? Edit: I am asking because I heard if you don't pick off red chillies they can cause the plant to die because the plant is thinking "I have fulfilled my purpose in life, I have fully mature offspring ready to go. Goodbye world!" Edit 2: I just chopped...

    Flower drop? Stigma remains.

I recently pollinated 2 mature flowers with a cotton swab and today I saw that the flowers fell from both buds but the stigma remains? Is this a sign of pollination?

    Quick question about hardening.

If I start out seedling in a grow box with a fan that cools and simulates a breeze and I have the lights off during the night. When the last frost is over, how should I harden them? My last frost isn't until late April to early May.

Take an antacid, eat your seeds, eat lots of bran and drink water, poop. Now you have seeds with softened shells and lots of ferts! Perfect for germination! :onfire:  :P  :fireball:

pests BUG I.D. - Photo LINK inside

Hi, I noticed this little critter this morning seemingly floating up to the tape on the side (used for netting when seedlings were smaller) and a tiny but of web on a leaf, is this critter a bug that will be my protector from the bad bugs or one I should relocate to a different place? Photo...

I've got 9 years gardening ahead of me now as I will try a cross next year. Thanks for the information that has now trapped in a pepper eat pepper world where one piece of pollen can ruin my experiment! I am now indebted to you, and I shall not fail!
