I think thats it for now. I'm not planning on doing a hydro grow this season but its still to early to tell (probably end up doing one dwc).
i will also be experimenting with topping this year just to see what all the hype is about. Thats all i got for now, thanks again for stopping by any and all comments are welcomed and appreciated. Good luck to everyone this year.

My kids are also into the growing of plants, since I spend so much time looking after mine.  My oldest son adopted my mustard habanero, while the middle son planted a blueberry bush.  My youngest has tried to grow a cactus, a squash plant, and now some sunflowers.  The cactus and squash were overwatered, as I found out he was watering them two to three times a day!  The sunflowers are getting great conditions, but I fear that the seeds were duds.  There is nothing popping up...  Hope the geranium goes well!

You know I almost bought a cactus today. I had bought her a miniature rose bush but she had to keep it in her room and she too was watering the crap out if it and it died.

Changed out the solution in the dwc yesterday and today found some brown slimy stuff on the longer roots but it washed right off. I read that organic nutes do that sometimes. Anywho the roots still seem to be growing like crazy and we are getting some new growth up top that looks healthy.

My bbg7s in the black cups are doing great. I think this weekend I'll go buy the fox farms ocean forrest and pot everything up to 8 in pots before they reach their final 5 gal buckets.

Picked up the ffof today and gh flora seriers nutes for the dwc. So I'm gonna do some potting up this weekend and switch the dwc from organic to synthetic nutes. The old man managed to send his beefsteak tomato seedlings to an early grave so now I'm gonna start some golden jubilee seeds for him.

Got everything potted up in the fox farms today. I decided to do a test and put my smallest, weakest 7 pot primo in a 5 gallon bucket straight from the solo cup, we'll see if it survives. Everything else went into 6 inch pots and after that will go in 5 gal buckets. Swapped the dwc over to gh flora nutes. 3/4 tsp grow, 1/2 tsp bloom, 1/4 tsp micro for a total 201 ppm and the ph is at 5.8. Somehow I managed to witness a once in a lifetime sight, the ol'lady gettin her hands dirty and helpin with the transplants!!!!

+1 on 109!

My better half is the weeder, and she helps with hoeing when I feel I'm close to a heart attack..LOL I can see by the pic, we're twice your age, and maybe some more. Good deal that's a family affair, garden time is a good time! I would say this time of year I put at least 24 hours a week into the garden. So you're even South of me, dirt time I say! Oh, and noticed a beverage of choice there too ;)

Like I never do that :liar:

Plants are looking good!

Git them babies outside, they'll love you for it.

Keep it green!

Roots in the dwc are kicking in to high gear, getting some good new growth up top. When I went to check the roots I forgot to raise the lights and ended up burning the 2 newest leaves! :derp:
I also noticed a few fungus gnats on the potted seedlings. So they got a dose of the h2o2.

Now the 7 pot primo in the 5 gallon bucket has a shit ton of fungus gnats. I guess that bag of fox farms was infested. As soon as it dries out they are getting the h2o2 as well.

For some reason the fatlli seems to be attracting the most attention outside between the sweat bees, flies, spiders, and now it seems to have some sort of leaf mining larvae. I didnt notice the spider in one pic till after I reviewed the pictures.

Looking good thirdcoast! I had leaf miners on some of my plants last year. Didn't do any damage, just made the leaves look a little ugly though. I don't think they're too much to worry about.

Well nature let me know not to leave things on the fence above the plants. Had a nice storm blow through and knocked my bbq pit spray off onto the fatalli and broke about 3 branches:( oh well lesson learned.

Well after the rain stopped today I have everything in its final resting place except the two small pots, the mother in law is taking those. I will be keeping 2 bbg7s, a 7 pot primo, 2 bhuts (1 in soil and the 1 in hydro), 1 new big dwarf tomato, and then the 2 scotch bonnets and fatalli from last year. Forecast calls for sun tomorrow so they should get their first taste of natural sunlight for at least 4 hrs tomorrow.
