Update on my Aji Charapita. Looks like I could have used that fencing around the pot as some of the lower branches look kinda weak... Second pic is a top down-ish viewpoint. I see one singular ripe pepper.

Still loaded with aphids (to hot for ladybugs, and the treatments failed so far), heatwaves, this year is a real challenge!

I’m seeing some ripe berries in there, so weigh ins coming soon. Thank God these grew true to line standard. Can’t say the same for the reds I germinated. Need to dip into non iso bags of that now if I’m gonna find the right ones.

My plant seems to be coming back, it has a lot of buds and small flowers. The pot it is in has 30l (~8 gal).

Hi there not sure if I'm posting in the right place. This is my first post on the forum so please have patience. Been growning peppers for years but never thought to join a forum until now. Hmm!
My Charapitas this year

Flavour is fantastic, like Habanero but better somehow. About the same level heat as Habanero. Gorgeous plants, so happy I chose to try these out this season.

What do you do with them?

I've been drying most of mine, but I love putting them fresh in salads, adds colour and amazing flavour!

These will be for restocking my seed inventory, eating fresh with every meal, making hot sauce, powder, jellies. You name it! Even fun to put one or two green ones in a bowl of peas at dinner to see who ends up getting it on their plate!

We had 3 consecutives nights at 4°c the last days, this year is weiiiird

2nd harvest... 5.39 grams. Terrible year so far
Total 6.47 grams

Plant did grow nicely in the end, but we had a massiv temperature drop and tons of rain. Night is below 10 degrees celsius. Lots of flower drop but tons of green pods not rippening.
