video AJs Backyard Pepper Porn Video 06-13-11

Very nice layout AJ. I gotta get me a watering system like that. We spent about 4 or 5 hours feeding tonight.and only got peppers done and maybe 100 or so tomatoes.
Your plants are looking amazing!

ps..I told my dad about your band date coming up..hopefully he makes it over there. I think you two would hit it off quite well.

Ya the heat has picked up pretty early this year. I think with all the shade cloth you have out this year things should hold up. Thankfully I have a fence line that only gets the morning and early afternoon sun and goes to shade the rest of the day. If all else fails, I can atleast enjoy Doughlah, Nagabon and some Aji Crystal that are inside in hydro.

It seems I run about 4 degrees warmer than that airport where the "official" numbers are recorded...as you know, you just learn to live with it...start work at daylight and work until about 10:30, take a dip in the pool, and you are mostly done for the day unless you have stuff you can do in the shade...

it could just be the eyes.

to me, the are just spectacular creatures...

hehe, i saw the video before you posted it up on THP. Those overwintered scorpion are killin' it. Huge difference between overwintered plants and seed starts.

I wondered who looked at the video on youtube...

I am hoping they will produce a lot of pods for me...if they do, a bunch more will be overwintered this coming December....

so, i woke up tired this morning, stayed up to watch Jason & the argonauts...late, real late for me(and i kind of nipped on some brandy). in the morning, got the girls ready for school, water everything outside, then took a half hour nap. didn't think anything could get any better today after the nap. but this was 8:13 minutes of bliss! what an inspiration for next year for me - gave me some new ideas.

great job A/J!

sounds like my day except, replace the brandy with shiner bock and I don't have kids...OK so it doesnt' sound like my day... ...

glad you enjoyed it...I love being a retired gardener/musician...what a life....

Wow. Very impressive. Me and my little 15 plants. Pffft...

That's how many I started with about 14 years ago...and if you don't watch it, what you see is what you will become in a few years...be forewarned....

the system is not hard at all to design/layout/install, especially if you have right angles you can work with...if you can run your lines straight, then you need that 1/2" plastic feed line and the barbed drippers...and the time is exactly why I put this system in...I had been spending 3 hours a day, each and every day watering plants...and in the summer that 3 became 5 sometimes...

will be good to meet your dad...lol...I feel like such an old codger sometimes...

fantastic plants as always AJ! it's all i can do to take care of the 47 plant i have. i don't know how you do it!

retirement has it's benefits...

Ya it's crazy how you are 40min away and the temp has that much of a difference. I get off work at 2pm and by the time I get home it's normally close to 3pm. That is when I have to take the time to tend to everything and that heat is completely draining. I've gotten mostly flower drops like you said due to the heat, but I had a few pods set that I'm hoping will hold out long enough to mature. Hate going outside and seening all those flowers laying in and around the pod haha.

Amazing job AJ! I'll have to buy my wife a pool.

best investment I have made in many years...and when we decided we were going to be here until we are no longer on this earth, we said what the heck...let's get comfortable...

Hey fellow AU fan, what in the world do you do with 270+ pepper plants? Do you make sauces or something?

Sell most of them as fresh pods...a portion of them will go to make powder...maybe some purees...if I make powder and purees, then I can have the basics of hot sauce...

Ah I see, I was just curious cause I only have like 15 plants as well and was wondering what in the world I'm going to do with all those peppers

This is Gold and you set the bar very high I hope to be growing like you someday.. can't wait to see your scorpions loaded up!!! stay cool brotha

I hope to be growing like you someday..

it's really easy skunk...just improve your process each year and believe it or not, WRITE DOWN your lessons learned...like...when the temperature is consistently above 95 in the day and 80 at night, do not, I repeat, do not over water...soggy soil + high temperature = root rot...

gotta get busy...I am seeing some of my scorpions show magnesium hunger...it's funny about a few of my scorpion plants...some require lots of Mg to stay green and others don't...I have been watching this for the past 4 years...I am almost ready to say that the ones that are Mg hungry produce pods like this...this is my first Scorpion of the year...

I was going to show off my Garden but after seeing your setup i will wait till next year. Beyond impressive. Thank you for sharing. Maybe if I set mine up like yours my boss won't nag me about my addiction.

LOL! The wife just looked over my shoulder and caught me watching your vid (again). "NO!!" was the cry from behind.

I was wondering AJ, how much water do your plants receive each day through your system. I guess it rises as the plants get bigger. Even with the "NO!" I can still make some plans
