big list some winners there.
I see your growing some different capsicums very cool. I'm gonna grow a heap tghis year in our home garden. And eggplants lots of different eggplants.

Yeah the different capsicums have great flavours.....I'll be growing baby sugar watermelons as ground cover between the chillis in the garden and Herbs as ground cover between the tomatoes in the other garden

Nice long list of variety you have planned.

I've never seen melons used that way and it'll be interesting to see how you get around when harvest time comes. ;)

good luck to you this coming grow season Moy...

Ha, I've been out teabagging flowerbuds today hoping to get pure seed for next season and trades. We are a little out of sync;)

Are you planning on smoking any of your harvest in your UDS?

Nice list Moyboy! Excellent list of maters too!

Is the hot lemon the same as Aji Lemon Drop? C. baccatum with pointy yellow citrusy flavored fruits? I'm growing this for the first time this year, and my god they are BUSHES! Seriously prolific plants.

Well ground cover was probably the wrong term to use as they won't be thick on the ground so it shouldn't be a big drama getting around in the garden.....My main thoughts are the vines growing up all my chillis plants, so I still need to work out what to do there??

I'm planning on smoking the Hungarian hot wax and the PIMENTO DE PADRON, and maybe some of the Jals....Have to get the UDS going first...

yeah I tried to grow most of those toms last year but failed due to the crappy soil and my ex's place......I was very disappointed cause I use all my toms for sauces and other things and freeze it all to last through the winter..:(. The soil is also the reason why all last seasons chillis are in pots, But now I'm back in my house with great quality gardens so this season will be very exciting.

I will post a few pics of the bare ready to go gardens when I get home from work and go into detail on what has gone into the soil....

The Hot lemon and the Aji Lemon drop are basically the same chilli except for maybe one small "official" difference that has they listed seperately? But my is bushes as well and I love it. I use the hot lemon as my daily chilli as it goes in almost all my food....

This Russian OP watermelon I'm growing has spread 35+ feet and has thick ground cover out to 15+. It spread into other rows and exited the garden. No problems with it climbing though and most melons aren't prone to climbing, but they will latch onto plants to anchor themselves to the ground. I think your Sugar baby is a hybrid and more confined. I was just wondering how you would navigate the chili rows without trampling and injuring the melon is all.

Yeah the baby sugar melons I grow are dwarf like and the vines usually don't grow more than 8 feet long and the cover of each vine isn't all that thick. You do have a fair point about walking through the garden so all I can do is move the vine on a daily basis so I can still step on the concrete blocks I will have in place through out the garden...I don't have the room to grow a full sized water melon vine....Well I guess I do but that room is usually saved for the neighbours butternut pumpkin vine that grows over my fence.....We have a rule that what ever grows on the neighbours side is theirs, and my neighbour is nice and usually throws a few vines over my fence...:)

Only starting now? I planted some seeds on the 1st of June, and I've got seedlings that have about 4 - 5 sets of leaves already.

In fact, we've had some fairly sunny days over the last few weekends that's allowed me to put the plants outside during the day!

Should have about 150 plants or so for Spring, probably keep less than half and sell the rest.
