Mate that's great....I've been looking very few hours like an excited parent but sadly none are up yet......and it's been 12 days. I'm hoping like hell that i get at least one up or I will be very sad...:(

and might cry...

roflmao @ 5*

to all our aussie down under friends...hope you all have a great growing season...may the chili gods be with you...

+1 AJ~

This is my first season being a part of this forum, but I know see how great it is to have a never ending cycle of people starting seeds and sharing in their germination excitement! Hell, I remember bitching about you Aussies harvesting when my plants were just babies, and now I'm beginning my harvest. Ahhh, the wonderful cycles of nature .

Problems getting it up I see....

Good call...

I don't have problems getting it up usually....I think it must be the stimulation that i'm trying to give it that's not working this time.

I was so jealous of you Aussies picking ripe peppers while I was playing in the dirt last January. World keeps turning. Best of luck to all of you.

Great list there moyboy, the start of a new season is always exciting. We Northern H dudes will be enjoying your results come December.

Update time!!

This is the plant that was in the peat pellet from my last pic.

Pretty much all of the plants I put in peat pellets are now this size and I'm a little slow in getting them in 3 inch pots (as you can see from the roots coming out of the pellet)

I am gradually getting my over wintered plants ready now the weather is getting warmer and new growth is starting to appear on the plants.

This is most of my over wintered plants

Pic of my main gardens, with me starting to plant some sweet peppers that were in pots last season. I will get 24 plants in the lower garden.

Ths long garden is where all my tomatoes are going.. I will get 10 toms in this garden, and ground cover will be herbs.
IMG_0898.jpg

The chilli at the end of the long garden is a 3rd year Chocolate hab, and the cactus in the middle of the long garden is a dragon fruit. I just planted it a few days ago and I've set up wire on the fence for it to climb on over summer. Dragon Fruit is currently selling for $4 AUD per fruit!!!!!

The chillis in pots are only in standard potting mix (I know.....but last year wasn't the best year for me growing wise....but thankfully this season has me being single again and able to do it right). So I'm repotting all the chillis that aren't going in the ground.

I've got a trailer load of premium organic soil mix from the local supplier and will be removing the plant from the pot and trimming back the roots, getting rid of the excess soil and repoting.

The soil will have perlite in it to help stop it compressing. Also I'm mixing in 2 hand fulls of fire ash, a shovel load of horse poop and about 6 crushed egg shells (6 isn't a calculated number, just what I have for the amount of pots I have)

My windowsill is jealous of your garden, nice setup. Where will the UDS go?

The UDS will go in the BBQ area which is just out of the pic on the left behind the house!!!!

It's still only a drum.....But that's another story...

Very nice Moyboy, the weather here won't be good enough for another month to get mine outside. Looks like you'll be getting an early harvest from some of your over-winters.

dragon fruit

Hi Moy,

Noticed your dragon fruit. You might want to consider building a separate trellis for it like below.

Once the heat and rain arrives that plant will take off and grow fast vertically. Just afraid your neighbor will be the one enjoying the fruit when time comes :)

Alright MB. You've got me all excited looking at that dirt just waiting to have plants in it. Watching that little green hook pop out of the soil, the first leaves....shit I'm going to have to plant some kind of seeds now!!

Best of luck to you man, I think you're going to have a great year.:)
